Who's the aggressor? (Well it's always Foreman). Who wins, why?

Sam Peter's dumb enough to lose this one.

Foreman outboxes him and picks him apart with that great left jab.

Yeah, but think about how Foreman was matched up in his second career. Peter's exactly the type of fighter he'd duck. When Foreman was the Lineal Champion, he rejected a proposed matchup with Hasim Rahman because, as Foreman said, "I know my limits."

That's true. Foreman was very selective in his opposition in his 2nd career. He probably wouldn't fight Peter unless Peter was the champ (and what are the chances of that?)

Seeing how well Alex Stewart did against George a couple of years later I think Peter "definately" has a shot. I'd pick Foreman by decision though

Old George stretches Peter out for about 2 minutes before he gets back up to his feet.
Peter would constantly be caught with rights until one landed that he didn't see coming and that would be lights out for him.

Realistically, Peter would outwork Foreman. Peter's power would probably keep George from taking any chances. The only way Peter loses is if he does something stupid, but then again, that's fairly likely.

Of course not. His punch output is pretty steady, and Foreman wouldn't be able to walk through his punches.

Yeah, but Foreman simply didn't take on strong fighters. Sure, you'll say that you can't say that Peter is a big puncher because he hasn't knocked anyone out, but who had Rahman knocked out when Foreman ducked him?

    Nonsense!

Both Morrison and Alex Stewart were notoriously powerful fighters and Shannon Briggs wasn't exactly a weakling....

George ducked Rachman in 98, 4 years after George had won a title. By that time George was pretty much retired. Had it been 90 and Rock was the champ, and George had a shot a title, I doubt he'd have passed the oppertunity.

I doubt George would be scared of Peter. He knew his limitations, which is why he would never fight Bowe. However, Peter is no Bowe, and George would know that he could wipe his ass with Sam.

And Sam Peter is exactly the type of fighter that could be fed to George to make him appear like a monster.

Gerry Cooney, as shot as he was, was still a bigger puncher than Peter. Peter is just big, thats all. I dont think that alone would discourage George from fighting him. Peter has no skill, is slow as fuck, has overrated power, and an overrated chin. George might have ducked Rockhead, but the Rockhead of 98 was better than Peter as well, and George feared him cause a prime Rachman had a stiff jab and was actually SKILLED.

You're comparing Peter to a 1989 Cooney.

Are you thinking of George Clooney or something? Was he still on The Facts of Life, or had he moved on to Roseanne?
