And the saga continues. I’m pretty certain that Devin will move up. He clearly sees Regis as the easier and more winnable fight. I doubt he will fight Shakur. Not in the near future anyway. I’m guessing it will be Shakur vs Loma for the WBC belt.
Haney has until this Friday to choose between Regis and Shakur. Im guessing he’s going to 140 and the belt is gonna be vacant.
No way will Haney want to fight Shakur 'Shakin' Stevenson after little Loma had him wobbling around like a baby giraffe - surely he'll move up.
The ONLY 2 Lightweight Fights Fans Want to See Dev Entertain are Tank and Shakur, Both Patently UNWINNABLE, in REED's Opinion... Even 'Fimo @ '40 is a "Safer" Fight, Per Se, Though REED Would Pick 'Fimo to Win... REED
Yeah I was. I was also impressed by his opponent. Just because a fighter doesn't "David Telesco" his opponent doesn't mean he's not top notch. And he proved he can fight through adversity and rise to the occasion.....he's definitely stronger mentally than Haney in addition to having skills on par with him.
Haney seems like he doesn’t want that heat with Shakur. Ever since Loma almost beat him he seems aware of his limitations and Shakur could very well be that guy to give him loads of issues. It would be a shame for Haney to duck Shakur.
The most lucrative option is probably Teofimo but Haney probably sees Regis as the most winnable fight. Shakur will fight for a vacant belt and won’t get the credit because Haney ducked HIM and refused to fight.
Haney vs Regis is a good matchup though. I'll take it. I would actually rather Shakur beat Loma first, then Shakur vs Haney at 140. I don't want any weight drain excuses from Haney when Shakur beats his ass.
Figured. Tank seems to be the guy for the casuals now. They’ll go on saying he’s the best despite him having spent his whole career ducking Loma. Dude is 29 and hasn’t fought 1 top guy.
