    Buchanan, obviously.

    He fought Roberto Duran.

The only reason Mosley would win this is because he would be 150 fucking pounds on fight night

if he were a real lightweight, Buchanan would jab him silly and dance all night

36 hour weigh ins? Might as well match Buchanan against Nino Benvenutti.

What if it was the same day weigh in but Mosley was allowed to commit every foul possible?

What makes you think Buchanon wouldn't have benefitted too?

Perhaps Ken would have fought at a lower weight and took advantage of rehydrating.

Same-Day weigh-in and Buchanan shows what the difference between a great boxer and a speedy-slugger really is.

Remember, that the post-juice Mosley had Cotto up on his toes, out-jabbing him.

what makes you think we have any way of even quanitifying that?

    Buchanan was actually a lightweight

Mosley was a welterweight masquerading as one

as an aside, even having weigh-ins is a joke now since NOBODY IS EVER ACTUALLY IN THEIR OWN WEIGHT CLASS ON FIGHT NIGHT

    boxing sucks

I will add one consideration no one has yet.

Buchanan has a gargantuan advantage in experience, especially in terms of elite competition, at LW, where Mosley fought largely nobodies.

Really? So you wouldnt class sharing a ring with the Lagunas, Ortizs and Durans of the world as giving you an advantage in experience over fighting the likes of Phil Holliday?

Ken Buchanan was unquestionably a better fighter than Shane Mosley.

In fairness to King Carlos, he was a shot alchoholic when Buchanan fought him

I don't disagree, just think Ortiz is a poor example under the circumstances he was in

Buchanan would've beaten Mando Ramos, too

Quite true, but he wouldn't be fighting Mosley in either case.

And Mosley saw Buchanan's like? How many masterful boxers with tungsten chins, razor sharp jabs and fierce will did Mosley face at 135?

mosley had plenty of experience. he had hundreds of amateur fights all around the world, and sparred with legends. there is no experience advantage here in this matchup.

You may as well say there is no size advantage for Mosley, given the weigh-in of their days.

Im not even picking Buchanan to win necessarily, but it is flat denial to argue you learn as much fighting Mosleys LW competition as you do Buchanans.

    @ 135, Admittedly ZERO...

But is Buchanan Really UNLIKE Vernon Forrest???...N REED's Opinion, Buchanan Bears a Stylistic SIMILARITY to Forrest, Only he's SMALLER, Not as RANGY, Not as STRONG & Not Nearly the PUNCHER Forrest was...

So YES, Mosley DID See Buchanan's Like...But Again, WHEN did Buchanan EVER See Mosley's Like, @ ANY Weight???...

    VERY Good Point...

Sparring w/the Likes of Chavez, Sr., Dela, Genaro Hernandez, the Ruelas Brothers, etc., Certainly MINIMIZES Any Perceived Edge in Experience for Buchanan...
