    was OK.....

Gomi and Mach were gunning it out, Mach just couldnt handle the pressure.

    Fedor, dominant as usual

Cro-Cop -v- Hunt, a bit of a let down, but still ok. Hunt can take a lick

Silva -v- Arona.....Good little scrap. Arona is a bore, Wandy is shit on the ground, and doesnt defend the takedown as well as he used to. Wandy came kinda close to catching arona in a triangle choke. That woulda been sweet.

Trigg was OK in Bas' stead as well. Not the best Pride card ever, but still worth watching

For me this shows that Shogun is the closest threat to Fedor.

Here is why - Hunt > Silva & Crocop - Close. Fedor > Arona - Close. Fedor > Crocop - Routine - No hammering. Arona > Silva - V.Close over two fights. Shogun >>>> Arona. Take away a rookie mistake when dominating Babalu and Shogun has been barely threatened - Not saying hell beat Fedor but he is a real threat...

    LOL.

Yeah, that Fedor better watch out for the midget attack.

I also heard Gomi is coming for Fedor as well.

I wouldn't mind seeing Gomi get smashed to pieces. I heard Pride is considering an open weight challenge for a Grand Prix. But that's just a rumour.

that would be interesting.....I dont think it will happen though

I thought Mach had a chance with Gomi, but he buckeled under the pressure

I think Hunts the biggest threat to Fedor. Shogun's just overrated.
Actually, I'll go as far as to say Hunt will beat fedor if they fought today. Sig bets anyone?:sulkoff:

yep....if it happens, you're on. Fedor would submit hunt in about -6 seconds. It would happen so fast that only superman would see it

I dont see why this fight wouldnt happen.

Hunt needs some sub defence, thats his only problem.

I didnt say it wouldnt happen.....but that doenst mean that Fedor wont make Hunt look like a slow hippo. Hunt doesnt have good takedown D, and CAN be outboxed. Hunts strongest attributes are his strength and IRON chin. Strength will be beaten out by Fedor's tecnique, and his chin wont do him a damn bit of good when he's choked half to death or has his arm nearly ripped off.

    I didnt say you did.

I'm not denying that Hunt sucks when his taken down. Wanderlie gave him problems so I dont see why Fedor wouldnt.

He can be outboxed but if you compare cro/fedor with cro/hunt who's standup looked more dominant against crocop? Shit, crocop barely hit fedor but look how fucked up his face was afterwards.

Crocop didnt hit fedor as frequently as he did hunt or as hard, but by the look of Fedors face afterwards you'd think he did. Hunt hits harder than Crocop thats my point, and I guarantee he wont be gun shy against Fedor like Crocop was.

    ah, ok....

I wont argue against your points there. But if Hunt doesnt land a BOMB EARLY, its not even a contest
