Darchinyan somehow reminds me too much of Haveeb. Not the way he fights, but his cocky smug looks he gives during introductions and interviews. he's a good fighter but it was funny seeing him get stetched by Donaire. Fuck, what is King Kong's record? I missed it.
Rd 2 Agbeko is slow but awkward, good counter puncher tho, tagging Vic a bit. Vic wide open and lunging in. Agbeko 10-9
Rd 3 Agbeko slips, nothing in it, nice right hand tags Vic. Vic is wild and not landing, and getting countered in the process. They go to war, Agbeko getting the better of it. Agbeko 10-9
They keep saying King Kong needs to get that left hook going BUT his right hand has landed flush four times now and staggered Vic twice.
Rd 4 Agbeko lands a right, Vic a left, Vic wide open for the right. Vic pushes him down, very scrappy fighting, mauling inside. Vic lands a glancing left, but keeps getting tagged by the right, and again. Nice left by Vic to end the round but not enough. Agbeko 10-9
Rd 5 Vic needs to land something but as yet it doesn't look likely. Vic doing that idiotic crab thing and getting tagged a lot. Vic getting frustrated now, nice left hook by Agbeko, can't miss with the right either. Vic cannot land the left to save his life. Oh there we are, finally. Agbeko 10-9
Rd 6 Vic lands a jab, amazing. Vic is cut and bleeding from the nose. Agbeko jabbing, landing, countering well. Vic stalking, missing, getting tagged. More of the same, straight right for Agbeko. Agbeko 10-9. Vic can't get a round at all.
Even though the first three rounds looked like brawling, King Kong was actually doing some really good work in there. Darchinyan likes to time people coming in and then he comes in full steam and engages. King Kong uses a bunch of shoulder fakes and feints and when he looks like he's about to come fwd, Vic would launch in, King Kong would retreat a half step and by the time they had engaged Vic had already swung at air once or twice. The result, Vic had no momentum by the time they actually engaged. Freddie Norwood did the same thing against JM Marquez to neutralize his power.
Jake has been shot for a while now, pay it no mind. How does the fight look compared to Nonito against Vic? I thought vic had improved a lot, but I think it was partly down to how hugely overrated Mijares was.
Rd 7 Vic lands a left and gets countered again with left hooks and straight rights, and again. Wild left from Vic, misses, oh what a surprise, countered. Same again. Vic's face getting messed up now. A decent left by Vic. Agbeko gets a standing 8 from a KD left and a push, dodgy really, bit of warring to end the round. Vic 10-8
Rd 8 Agbeko still landing the lead straight right. Vic a bit buzzed, Agbeko landing more! Vic lunging again, countered again. Vic lands a left. Low blow from Vic, ruled accidental. Vic lunging, some warring, Vic lands a bit. Darchinyan 10-9, stole it.
Rd 9 That right from Agbeko can't miss, . Vic is landing a bit more now, finding his range, nice left by Vic. Agbeko maybe slowing a bit. Close round. Vic is getting that left working but not phasing Agbeko. Another left by Vic, lands some good ones at the end. Vic 10-9
Rd 10. Vic trying to "box" now, lunges in and gets a left in the face, and a right for his trouble, Vic's buzzed and beat up. Vic getting dirty now, pushing and mauling, head clash. Warring now and Vic getting owned with left hooks and straight rights. Vic bleeding like a stuck pig now. Agbeko 10-9 Vic needs a KO to win.
