silva vs. bisping on ufc 110

damn, i was looking forward to silva vs. akiyama, but it's silva vs bisping instead.

anyone know why this change has been made?

Not Anderson Silva. Wanderlei Silva. I think Akiyama was injured or something.

 

I think Bisping might be going to sleep again

 

The change was made because Akiyama is still pretty much an unknown among most fans. He's certainly not a big enough name to headline a PPV.

If Bisping can't beat Wandy, he needs to think about finding a new career.

i guess he's popular in the UK. akiyama's a star in both japan and korea. he also has his share of followers on the internet.

i don't know, but he's pretty well known, if not liked, through TUF and the highlight reel KO defeat to Hendo at UFC 100.

It's worth remembering that this card is in Sydney, and so i'm pretty sure it won't be ppv

 

yea i noticed whenever they do fights overseas, they do that tape-delay telecast bullshit. but then again, if it was shown live, then they wouldnt put it on spike.

i think bisping is a boring fighter who wouldnt be a big draw in the states if he was headlining.

i figured a lot of folks from asia would fly over to australia see wanderlei and akiyama considering their popularity from fighting in japan.
