There's a compelling argument to make for either, but I'd more side with Brown drowning Ike in deep waters.
Quartey, because of the way he threw his jab, would always have trouble with guys that move and make him come forward. That is because his stiff jab was due to him rocking weight onto his left foot, as opposed to pushing off his right foot. You can't close distance that way. But if a guy is coming to you, you are putting out a hard jab; if it misses, you can rock your weight back and be in position to punch with either hand. If Brown finds himself getting caught with the jab- even if he is catching it on his gloves- he is going to find himself stuck outside and he will probably lose on points. If he can slip that jab and counter- by this I mean specifically catching Quartey with a right hand or a hook as Ike rocks his weight forward as he jabs- he will stop Quartey in 5 or 6 rounds. If he gets past the jab but allows Ike to settle his weight back, this will be a fierce fight because, when Simon moves in, Quartey will be ready for him and the exchanges will be violent. My guess, in that case, is that Simon punches a bit harder and is a bit better at that type of fight.
