I mean, if he's ever had any street cred, this all but stomps on it. But in all honesty, it's a brilliant marketing move.

I figured Floyd-Hatton to sell somewhere around 450,000-500,000 PPVs. Now? I'd be shocked if it didn't wind up becoming the highest selling PPV of the decade among all fights not featuring de la Hoya.

Yeah, I guess we'll have to wait and see how the PPV sales (and Floyd's performance) turn out.

It still won't outsell Lewis-Tyson though.

This is the kind of shit that makes big favorites get beat. Remember Lewis filming Oceans 11 before the Rahman fight? Too bad the fight is against Hatton because Floyd should be able to beat him with a 2 week preparation seeing as how he pretty much stays in shape anyhow.

Hold your horses there Mr. Jake. You're also assuming Floyd doesn't make a jackass out of himself on the show (which is possible).

Let's hope ABC suppresses Money Mayweather's "Yep" video.

"I make it rain...I make it storm..."

Where are all the Floyd fans that were calling Tszyu a homo for being on the show?

Why is it a surprise? This is who Floyd Jr really is. He's not this ghetto thug he pretends to be.

I don't think we will. When it comes to this medium, the "other" Floyd shows up. The version Bob Arum wanted to promote, not the "Get Rich or take an easier fight Trying" version you love so much.

Floyd will try, but he'll only come off as more phony.

D'oh, I forgot about that fight.

OK, I'll just say that what I expected for Floyd-Hatton (450-500K), I'm now expecting at least 700K. (assuming Floyd gets any kind of momentum on the show - and of course assuming he can dance  )

Floyd is a fake. His style of fighting explains it. He wants to keep that Pretty face scar-free. Watch when he gets his first loss. They're gonna truly sh*t all over his boring as hell career. The phony will get exposed.

True...if he's out in week one it's pretty much a moot point.

    "However"

if he stays on awhile, he'll be able to push the fight. On the flipside, the longer he dances, the more you have to wonder about how good his legs will be come fight night.

"Floyd lost because of Dancing With the Stars."

(Floyd losing...I have no problem with that).

But that was brilliantly promoted, Oscar is a huge star, and the fight dissapointed a lot of viewers.

ok, having done the 2 seconds of research I remember thinking that this fight would do about half of what DLH Mayweather did, and so I'll put the mark at a round 1,000,000 buys

Over 2 million, all thanks to Oscar. Floyd by himself hasn't exceeded 400K. People are going to order Floyd/Hatton because Hatton is a tough opponent. So it should do well.

1 million buys. What makes you think they'll even exceed 500K?

because Hatton performed well in his last fight, and two bits of promotion will get people out to see the best possible match-up in boxing
