:::: how will a fight between Quintana vs. Margarito go.....? I'm still not sold on Quintana...he tired a bit against Williams...Margarito would kill him to the body..late in the fight...:dunno:...Margarito would be sucking Quintana off in a few weeks to get him in the ring....
Good fight! I hope Carlos gets another big name on his resume! He deserves it. He's a good fighter/person. He needs to make Money now!:bears:
yeah...and Margarito would not land as much as Williams did...but when he do land it will affect Quintana more....Quintana should be able to catch Margarito with the left hand at will....he will have to survive the later rounds though...
Margarito can cut off the ring much betetr then Williams. Williams isn't used to cutting off the ring. Quintana made him fight a fight a fight he wasn't used to. Margarito would break him down like Cotto did.
Margarito would have a good chance at stopping Quintana late, but he would be made to look foolish the majority of the bout.
Seconded. Williams was out of position all of the time; Margarito is very slow but he remains with his feet properly planted to throw shots. If Quintana tries to hold as much in the second half of a fight with Margarito as he did with Williams, then he'll be in very bad shape.
Styles make fights,..the a, b, c, theory is typical reactionary horseshit,.. Quintana may do well against light hitters, but Margarito has respectable power, especially if he can sickle the odd hook to his kidney the way Cotto finally caught Quintana after getting well, 'tutored' quite frankly. One question, since a majority of the title holders, in the welterweight division, are not American, but are Puerto Rican, is it time to start crying about the 'good old days' as of yet?...:crafty:
I can see Quintana doing the same thing to Margarito that he done to Williams, and maybe even in easier fashion. Margarito is a whole lot slower of hand and foot. And I don't think he cuts off the well enough to land consistently.
By the same token I can see Margarito doing the same thing to Cotto that he did to Shotgun Gomez :cheer: .
Phony's hook to the body is NOTHING compared to Cotto's, and Phony throws much wider punches than Miguel, and has slower hands. I'd probably make Phony a favorite over Quintana, but only a slight favorite. A Quintana upset wouldnt shock me in the least bit considering how one dimensional Phony is. I can guarantee you that even if Phony did beat Quintana, he damn sure wouldnt dominate him the way Cotto did. Cotto, and Floyd are a level above the rest of the pack at 147. I know it pains you to hear this since you hate both of them, but its the truth.
I cant wait until July! Cotto is gonna beat the shit outta your fraud hero, then I wanna hear what kind of excuse your gonna create for Phony.
Quintana 'peppered' him, with culinary, ease,.. and then Cotto punched him in the kidney. fight over. what a pity, it's virtually the same as a clash of heads, NC, except Cotto is rewarded with all the benefits. You say Tone punches a lil wide, that's kool, all the more to hit the kidney's with, says the big bad wolf,...
I think you need to rewatch the fight. Your talking as if Quintana was outboxing Cotto or something. Not so. Miguel was landing on him w/ease even before he started going to the body. Quintana just remained in the fight whilst Miguel warmed up. Once he turned it on, fight over.
Illuminati said all the rounds were 'close', you ofcourse know what that means against Cotto don't you?... That's how I'm able to filter the reality of this fight, and you should too,...:nono: don't let thoughts of Fraud persuade your agenda and judgement, you insult him so, he's above boxing.
