I agree, but with his power he has a decent chance. I think he covers up too much though to beat Pavlik. Kelly will go through his guard like its nothing.

 

I dunno how to gauge his power, but it seems like Miranda hits harder, but Abraham places his punches better with more accuracy. All in all it will be fun while it lasts.

Pavlik is probably the favorite because with his size he doesn't really have to adapt to his opponents like they do against him.

Both fighter's chins figure to be tested in this fight, and I do like the way Abraham carries his power late into fights. He can be a bit defensive and economical early, though.

It should a very good fight.

Hard to say,since I've only seen Abraham with his fights against Miranda. Maybe HBO or Showtime can get at least a couple more of his next fights on US TV to maybe get some more attention and warrant a fight with Pavlik?

that's bullshit Abrahams double guard is prolly the best in the business together with Winky. Pavlik has the tools to penetrate it but it DEFINITELY won't be like NOTHING...

 

Yeah, it's a prety solid guard...and he covers his body pretty well with it, which is why some of Miranda's punches went to the belt line and below.

 

I'll go with Pavlik by decision.

 

I dont see Abraham's handspeed as being anything special. He wont be the quickest opponent Kelly will have faced because Taylor has faster hands than Abraham.

Abraham definitely however will be the biggest puncher Pavlik will have faced, and vice versa. Its a dangerous fight for Kelly because one thing I WILL say about Abraham is, he seems like a very good finisher.

Still, I'd confidently pick Pavlik. Kelly just has too many tools for Abraham. He keeps the distance too well, and his punches are so straight and accurate that they'll bust through Abraham's guard. Pavlik by late TKO.

I maintain that Kessler is a bigger threat to Pavlik than Abraham is. But alot of ppl on this board sleep on Kessler.

Still, Pavlik-Abraham, or Pavlik-Kessler, doesnt matter to me which one happens.... just as long as ONE of those matchups happen.

 

I'd pick Kelly.. but it's no walk in the park.. Abraham is the goods.. good power.. but IMO a little too economical with his punches for a buzz saw like Kelly..

I will say I think Abraham has maybe equally hard punching power as Pav.. if not it's close

I still don't think much of Abraham, but he CAN punch for sure. Especially for a german.

And even though his punching technique doesn't look great, somehow he is quite accurate, and manages to land flush.

Fairly tough fight for Pavlik, but I agree kessler would be a tougher fight.

I can see Smurf tagging, hurting, maybe even knocking pavlik down, before getting smashed to pieces by Kelly at about round 6.

If I'm not mistaken, Aurthur Abraham holds the world record for the for the being fastest rope skipper. I always thought that was funny considering how stationary he seems to stand during all of his fights but it sure does show when he lets those hands go how powerful and quick he is.

As for who will win this fight........I'd sure love to find out. Both of these guys are for real and would rather be dead then let their fans down.

 

Well,.. one is camel, sorry, 'caramel', the other is ivory, but they do both have caucasoid skulls,..delicious to the knuckle, good for EXPOSING by any means.

Nice to see LOK convinced here - i agree the workrate would be a factor Abrahams only chance is to land one of those bombs and KO Kelly.

I'd love to see how much Pavlik can smother Abraham. Pavlik seems to be the best at walking people down but Abraham is dangerous for 12 rounds if he manages to stay up for that long.
