Ok so Fury/Whyte went to purse bids and someone wins at 42 million? What does that mean? The promoter puts up 42 million and gets the rights to the fight? Fury gets 32 million whyte gets 8 and who gets 2 ? Now since the promoter has 42 million invested are you telling me this fight makes more than 42 million? In this day and age with streaming and all fights still pull in that much? Say it's 50 bucks for ppv and they sell 500k.. thats 25 mill... where else is the money coming from? Ticket sales ? Tv rights to air the fight after the ppv is done with??? So this 42 million investment... how much would you estimate brings back to the purse winner??

If it's at the Millennium stadium in Cardiff, it will sell out and that will cover a large amount of Warren's costs. Contrary to what's normally spouted, Warren is better at marketing than Hearn is. Hearn's had bigger fights in recent years, but the biggest events in the UK since AJ-Klitchko were Wilder-Fury I & II. That includes AJ-Usyk. With how popular Fury is, being billed as his homecoming, and how explosive the build up will be, there's no way this doesn't sell out.

And I also have a sneaking suspicion we could see this on Sky. With Matchroom out of the picture, there may be action to have this on BT, Virgin and Sky. Whyte had very good relations there, even if things were dicy with Matchroom and I can't imagine Sky turning down a fight like this with no contractual obligations, and the current state of their current roster. Across all three platforms, I can see this doing over a million in the UK, which at £20/25 makes 25m, plus the 80,000 stadium tickets at say, an average of £250, and they'll make a lot of money. Plus, I'm sure they'll find someway to make you pay for it in the US.

I actually doubt it'll even break even, let alone make profit, but I'm sure this will be an absolutely massive event. But I think Frank overpayed big time.

Oh, and the other two million will be for expenses.

REED Would Imagine the Promotion Will Recoup MOST of That $42mil via SITE FEE Alone...

For Example, Saudi Arabia Gave Eddie Hearn OVER $40mil for the Right to Host Joshua-Ruiz II...

That was a very, very extreme example though.

True, but REED Would Be SHOCKED if the Promotion Wasn't Getting $25mil Minimum for a Site Fee...

Fury's Homecoming, vs. a Shit Stirring Domestic Fighter???
