Spence should win this, I don't think he was bad against DSG, just a little lazy. He could afford to be that against Ugas, and he has all the body work and skill to open up that guard and pick him away. Ugas is like a slightly less wealthy man's Clottey, who was like a homeless man's Quartey.
I dont think we're ever gonna see the pre-accident Spence again. The accident, plus age, have slowed him imo. His true peak was 2015-2018. Still, Ugas is a pretty average fighter. Spence by UD.
He showed some definite signs of ring rust against DSG but he was just too good for him. Ugas will hopefully tell us more about where EJ is at but I’m just not sure he’s good enough. EJ would do well to make a statement and get a stoppage here. That would establish that he’s truly back.
