"Nothing comes close... to having your hands raised when you were not supposed to, when it's not supposed to be. That's defiance. There's nothing sweeter than defiance." - Sugar Ray Leonard All aboard.
"I would just be so happy for Steve. It would be the best thing in the world cause that's... that's what he lives his life for." - Valerie Forbes Believe.
Probably off the board:doh: Stevie straight up to win was +1000 so I can't picture what a KO win would be.
Yes! If Forbes somehow managed to punch Oscar's face 50 times on the ropes and the ref jumped in to save Oscar, I think I would literally cry tears of joy. I mean like sobbing!
If this was 10 years ago I would agree but this version of Oscar imho is unpredictable anything is possible after 6 rounds now.
dsimon writes: Oh man that would be sweet. I might have to kiss Alabama if that happened.:dunno: Maybe even that bastard Mex!! Go Stevie!!!! The guy looks determined, for what its worth... Of course that and an MTA card will get him on the subway.:: GO STEVIE!!!! ::
"I've been an underdog my whole life. When I get inside that ring, man, I think of everything that has ever happened to me, take all that in there and I say 'man, you can't blow it." - Stevie Forbes Like I said, I would by crying tears of joy if Forbes KTFO Oscar. I have never wanted a fighter to win so much EVER. Even all of Pacquiao's fights. Believe!!!
I doubt Dela Hoya could kick Demetrius Hopkin's ass as easily as Forbes did it. The judges are the only people who thought Hopkins won.
He lacks pop and is severely undersized, but make no mistake about it, Forbes is a crafty little mofo! He does some great work on the inside and has a pretty solid chin. I can definitely see De la Hoya on his toes early and landing some hard flurries, but if Forbes can weather the storm and keep workin that body, he may be able to give De la Hoya a lot of trouble late! If/when De la Hoya gasses, he'll have no choice but to fight Forbes on the inside where Forbes can put in his best work! I can envision either DLH stunning Forbes early and flurrying, winning him a TKO or Forbes winning the decision due to taking the late rounds with accurate punching and consistent work to the body! That being said, Forbes by SD baby! Believe :cheer:
DLH had problems with this type of fighter in his PRIME let alone NOW! Stevie is a good boxer and he is durable.. I hope he does it! GO STEVIE!!!:cheer:
"I just hope the stretcher is unloaded and on the ring apron from the opening bell and the paramedics have a giant spatula ready to scrape Stevie off the mat" - Saad Believe.
It might look like DLH vs. Gatti.... if so you will see threads like "Can De La Hoya beat Mayweather in the rematch"...and you will see responses like...."Yes he can" from Double L....
