I see Lb for Lb keeps on mentioning this movie in Keanu Reeves based threads, so I figure I'll throw him a bone, since I finally caught this a couple nights ago. Street Kings Dirty cop movie from 2008. I forgot this even existed. This should not be a good movie. Keanu is not very good in it but he does spit out some entertaining racial epithets towards Asians ::. Chris Evans is wasted. It checks every bad cliche in every dirty cop movie ever made. It comes off like a homage to "Training Day", "Dark Blue", "Striking Distance", and a bunch of other 90's to early 2000's cop flicks. All the dirty cops are just caricatures of dirty cops, the thugs are just caricatures of thugs, and the women are just window dressing for the guys. That said, it's an eminently watchable action flick and flies by in no time. Worth it just to see Forrest Whitaker chew up the scenery as possibly the dirtiest, scummiest, smile right to your face police captain ever put on the silver screen. :bears: 7/10
