Two top five middleweights get it on. Pretty good fight. After all the crap Sturm talked about Sylvester he went pretty quiet after Sylvester put Castillejo into a coma. ::
Also Sylvester's daddy Amin Asikainen will fight in November, facing the top-5 middleweight Khoren Gevor.
Top 5 really? Both are lower top ten I´d say. That being said I`M SHOCKED you´d mention Asikainen in this thread. ::
Top-5 of middleweight right now (based on who beats whom): 1. Asikainen 2. Abraham 3. Gevor 4. Pavlik 5. Sylvester :stir: Anyway, there is an interesting middle-muddle going on in the division and Sturm-Sylvester might be an entertaining clash of styles. Personally I have thought Sylvester with his simple footwork and not-so-great punch is just the type of opponent Sturm can beat, but considering how easily he destroyed Castillo I have changed my pick. Sylvester TKO 11
Very good fight. Sturm really had no choice... although if he cashed in his lottery ticket four years ago, perhaps giving up his alphabet title would've been a viable alternative at this point. Still, glad to see the fight happening... here's to hoping I'll actually get to see the fight! Props to the European boxing scene, without them there isn't a middleweight fight worth a damn happening between now and whenever.
