For the De La Hoya haters...:stir:

Prime vs Prime, I take Leonard in 8 rounds. If Leonard was the one delivering that left hand that Ike Quartey dropped De La Hoya with, there is no way Oscar survives.

Yeah and thats why I say 13 rounds, just cuz he will be tired doesn't mean he will just fall apart, he is tough as nails, and SRL doesn't have one punch power, he would have to give DLH a beating for a few rounds, and DLH will make him work for it.

exactly. Oscar's chin is iron, he isn't gonna be stretched by Leonard it's gonna be an exhaustion induced stoppage. Probably about 9-4 on the cards at the time.

Agreed with concensus. I don't see a way Oscar wins the fight, but Ray wouldn't just blow him out of the water. A prime De La Hoya is a difficult opponent for anyone and Leonard would box him smartly. (and vice versa)

I also agree that stamina makes the biggest difference.

Oscar has his moments and is competetive, but Leonard was just too good for him, I say TKO13 or 14

Leonard has more power than Ike Quartey, though. And Quartey had Oscar hurt in the 6th round of their fight.

Now imagine Leonard who is bigger, stronger, faster, and more powerful than Quartey moving in for the finish....

I really don't see Oscar making it to the 13th round when you put all those things together.,

Ray would definitely stop him in a 15 rounder. In a 12 rounder, Ray by commanding UD. Either way its all Leonard. EVERYTHING Oscar had, Ray had more of.

I don't recall Quartey hurting Oscar. I recall him dropping Oscar but it wasn't like he was on wobbly legs or in any danger of getting stopped. Oscar's chin was outstanding as he was never really shook up by a punch on the chin that I can think of. Even Shane can't say that.
