One that could have happened in '88/89.

Who wins? I think this could potentially be a great fight, as Lora wouldn't be able to dance and out-box Moon, he'd have to get his respect.

Lora had more power and meaness than Roman - he was also a bigger man.

Moon has a puncher's chance, but truthfully I see peak Lora as a level above.

    Happy by UD.

I would agree that Lora was a better bantamweight, X. I think the styles favour Moon, but not by so much that I'd make him favourite here.

I think Moon's aggression would be used against him too much vs Happy. Moon swung wildly at the best of times, so against Lora, he'd be all over the place and Happy could put some real spite on those counters. I think Moon would draw Happy into a war for the first five or so, until Lora starts banging away at Moon enough to get his respect. Not that I think Moon would get all shy or out, just that I think Moon would start to second guess his wild swings, pull his punches slightly at the thought of those counters. Also, Happy could use his head pretty well too when he wanted. After a few rounds of exchanges, to get Moon's respect, I see Lora breaking away from the action more and more, getting more commanding with each passing round. Similar to what he did to Vazquez and Zaragoza. I also don't think Moon has a particularly big punchers chance. Avelar, even old, was better puncher than Moon IMO, and Lora took his best.

Moon is hell for most defensive fighters that lack the power to deter him, particularly those reliant on their footwork.

Lora was neither. Of all the great defensive fighters (not including offensively aggressive fighters with great defense like Duran) Lora was the most venomous. And he could crack, make no mistake. It wouldn’t take him long to get Moon’s respect. When that happens, it’s just a matter of time before the fight starts becoming one sided.

Lora really beat the living Hell out of Zaragoza.

Made Zaragoza look like a total chump, which he he obviously was not.
