    Here are the basic rules:

    1. Submissions are made once and only once. A thread will be opened at the end of each month, with the fights happening in the following month. At this point we will pick a number of fights to be involved and soon after, make our picks for the entire month BEFORE we start the contest.

    2. You must make a prediction for every fight on the table, otherwise no points wil be recieved for fights missed.

    3. Points are removed for incorrect picks. This will seperate the men from the boys. This applies to picking the incorrect winner only.

    Scoring is as follows:

    2 points for picking the correct winner of a fight.

    Bonus points for winning picks:

    1 extra point for method of victory (if you pick your fighter to win by KO and the KO happens).

    1 extra point for timing or scoring of victory (if you pick your fighter to win by KO "late" and the KO comes beyond the middle round of a fight).

    Here's how the timing breaks down:

    EARLY = Rounds 1-3
    MID = Rounds 4-7
    LATE = Rounds 8-12

    2 extra points for a perfect pick (if you pick your fighter to KO the other guy in early on, and that happens.)

    ***No points will be awarded in draws unless you predict a draw. Like the fighters, everyone loses with draws unless you predicted the draw, then it's scored as normal with 2 points.

    Detractions:

    -2 points for any incorrect pick.

    So I get four points for picking a correct draw. That is not enough. That should be worth at least 10 points.

    Sounds good Tam, I'll join in.

    El - no, then it would be too tempting to pick draws more often in the hope that you get lucky.

    Trust me, it doesn´t happen that often. Otherwise the starting odds wouldn´t be at least 17.0 for each fight.

    I know, they are often a lot more than that.

    But on here, with no money to lose, it would increase the risk of morons picking draws almost every week, and possibly managing to even up at some point :lol:

    We should all PAY 25 dollars to join and then split everything between 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

    To make something like that viable and worthwile, we'd need about 15-20 people invovled, otherwise youre just going to be splitting the money between each other every month.

    Tam Tam, to be clear, how many points for?

    A beats B by KO 2:

    1. Picked A by early KO
    2. Picked A by UDEC.
    3. Picked A by mid or late KO
    4. Picked B.
    5. Picked draw
    6. Didn't make a pick for this fight.

    I've got more, but I'll start here.

    I'm happy to be in, so long as there is none of this 'if it ain't on Showtime and it don't have US dudes in' so it isn't in sort of shit... :doh:

    25 bucks is pennies, but if you have enough how does a monthly prize sound?

    Either way, count me in Craig...

    MTF :clap:

    Why not? Jut go out and kill a croc. That would probably cut down on the cost of the boots if you supply the materials.

    We lost our croc in the backyard when the Kookaburra's and Wombats moved in. Not enough room on the block, what with the red back spiders, Kangaroo's and chuzwazza's laying around the place. :doh:

    Damn, sorry to hear that man.

    I still think it would be cool if the prediction contest had an authentic Australian awards theme provided by Tam Tam.

    I think everyone would agree.

    We'ed need a vote to validate that.

    Also, if we're going to charge people to play in this, I think we might need to check who;s cool with that, because odds are youre going to get fewer people now.

    If Tam Tam wins we should get him something authentic from Canada.

    Want to go halfers on a hockey puck?

    Kangaroo's will have customs issues, IDIOT. :doh:

    I heard they're doing trials for pancrease transplants over there all the time though, so its probably the best thing for me. Oh Canada...and such.

    I'm sure you've sent kangaroos though the mail before. You have ways of getting around customs issues. Don't play dumb. :nono:

    Pancreas transplant?

    No problem. Fly down here, i'll give you my health card and you're good to go. You may have to pay a 20 dollar tray fee though.
