So both guys were destroyed by Pavlik in about 7 rounds. Taylor was far more competitive with Pavlik and almost had him out himself, unlike Miranda...but Miranda seemed to take the punches better you could argue since he seemed to get hit with TWICE as many punches as Taylor did before wilting.

So..at 168, who wins between these two?

With Taylors back up style and being open for the right hand Miranda fighting JT would be competitive. Remember Pavlik had success backing Miranda up. JT wouldn't try and back Miranda up.

If Taylor's Gonna Face a PUNCHER in his Next Fight, it May as Well B Pavlik...

Fights w/Miranda (& Lacy) will ALWAYS B Viable Options for Taylor...

Miranda's LIMITED Enough where Jermain's "Skills" Would B the Difference...REED likes Taylor by Unanimous Decision...

i agree. miranda is dangerous in the same sense that mayorga is - if you let him back you up and give him room to hit you on the end of his punches. and knowing taylor, that's exactly how he'd fight miranda, in which case, you'd have to give edison a decent chance of winning.

by the way, the best game-plan against pavlik would probably be to back him up too. but that's going to be tough for any 160 pounder to manage.

Yes, and I agree with him.

Mayorga is sloppy and often wild, but he is not completely skill-less.

Miranda is pretty tough and can punch, but he is pretty much void of any skill.
