Hey man, no disrespect, as I truly hope you can resume your career, and respect the efforts of anyone willing to chase their dream.

But a 9-minute video of you hitting a heavy bag?

The last one was 2 1/2 minutes wrapping your hands, a couple of minutes of shadow boxing, then a session of you struggling your crunches. That occupied about 8-8 1/2 minutes of video time.

Don't they have anyone you can spar with out there? I'm sure this is very exciting to you, that you're getting back on track, but there's only so far you need to go on video with each element of training. trim it down, and combine elements of it into one video - and include a dance partner in the next one, for Christ sakes ::

Please take it as constructive criticism and not as an insult. I would be genuinely interested in seeing a future sparring session, or something other than one man against elements of the gym. If I'm alone in that opinion, then I'll STFU and move on.

However IMO any boxing related traffic is good traffic ....

I would like to see a sparing session though ..

 

I would also like to see sparring. I look pretty good on the heavy bag as I can punch like a bastard and I am fast, but I would not look so impressive sparring a top 10 fighter around my weight. I would get battered.

 

I lose to the heavybag.

 

Same here. I'm pretty good with the speed bag as well but in a sparring match I would also get hammered by a top 10 fighter.

Jake if I were you I'd hunt Gerald down and lay him out, teach the guy some manners.

Gerald - Jake is one of the best and most involved-with-boxing posters here on fightbeat, he was just saying a lot of people would probably appreciate a sparring video. Simply more exciting.

Even if you're concentrating on weight loss now, there'd be no harm in sparring a couple of rounds and uploading it.

Your punches are very straight man, look like Floyd's that way... quick is the word I would use. IMO Floyd isn't actually the fastest cat in the world and does not need to be because getting from point A to point B in the shortest possible distance gives one quickness. IMO speed is a natural gift some people have some people don't, quickness is a more refined quality that translates as effective punches thrown with economy of movement and no Telegraphing.

Good my friend, but the best part of the sport to me IMO is watching the training, u must be a fight-only fan of the sport...im giving real fans of the sport the opportunity to see a fighter become champ one day at a time......enjoy the ride, its going to be a good one!!
