-Arguablly lost to an inactive past his best De La Hoya -Was given a huge Christmas gift against Castillo -Struggled with Zab Judah :: -Beat crap opposition... I know people are looking for fill their fraud void now there is no longer prime roy fighgting garbage men so i'll assume that's why.. unless somebody..preferablly somebody without floyd's dick in their mouth convinces me otherwise.
Floyd is the type of dominant boxer who is usually so much more skilled than his opponent, and so disliked that when he doesn't dominate emphatically....people are questioning the decision. Much like Tarver vs Jones the first time. Floyd has never come close to losing a bout. Castillo didn't beat him the first time, and Oscar didn't beat him. PERIOD. It is just that the guy is such an arrogant trash-talking prick that most wanna see carted out of the ring on a stretcher....that we have him under the magnifying glass looking for chinks in the armor. If it were any other fighter buy Floyd facing Castillo 5 years ago, or Oscar earlier this year...there would have been no debate about the decisions. Case in point. Felix Sturm didn't come close to beating Oscar, and certainly did not fight Oscar as well as Floyd did...but everyone cried robbery when Oscar was given the decision. Look, I cannot stand Floyd Mayweather and would absolutely love to see this cat get clocked "Julian Jackson style"....but the guy has never lost, never come close to losing.....and came all the way up from Jr. freakin' lightweight to legitimately earn today's P4P #1 fighter. Stop the hating and nuthugging and call it like it is people. BTW,....he will make Rickey Hatton look stupid.
I agree...but Floyd fought Oscar better than Felix did, so if Felix won, Floyd won. That was my point.
wow. quite an argument you presented here. you must be a floyd fan. this reply of yours in itself proves why ball lickers like you consider him great.
Look at this goof's resume Gatti?? HAHAHAHA Some bum kid from contender did it just as impressivelly Bumdomir? HAHAHAHA Some Argentinian tomatoe picker??? Augustus? HAHAHHA 28 others did it just as imprssivelly hahhaha Corley? HAHAHAHA a man in women's panties had floyd hurt hahah WENT 1-1 with a brawler like Castillo hahahha soooo impressive...give him a rubber match you scared bitch here come the big wins Coralles!!! hahahah what did corrales do? He's just a tall skinny brawler..Clotey did it just as well...Why isn't cLotey p4p #1??!! and lets face it a boxing promoter beat him. hahahhaha a boxing promoter beat him??? you don't see b-hop losing to bob arum haha Truth is Hopkisn is P4P#1 without a doubt..this kid is a fraud...he's only remotely popular just roid fans hopped off roid's wrinkled dick and hopped on the next dick available which happends to be floyd..
I'll be honest now. The reason Floyd is great is because he's been dominant. Sure he hasn't fought a lot of great fighters but what fighter has? What you have to look at is how he's dominated most of his opposition. Lately yeah, he's looked less than spectacular but until he actually gets beat or somebody does something to replace him, he's P4P #1. He's also continued to successfully move up in weight and win titles. The guy is great. I mean if all he's done isn't enough for you, maybe you can tell us who's done better, because honestly not many fighters out there can boast the credentials that he can. I mean the guy is undefeated, went from 130 all the way to 154 and won titles in each division. Yet all everyone ever talks about is big names on the resume' even though that isn't the only standard to rate a fighter against. Floyd has shown outstanding defense, toughness, and some of the best ring smarts and adaptability around. He's beyond talented, because unlike some past greats he doesn't just rely on talent. Floyd works hard at his craft, and when a guy works hard at a craft that comes naturally to him, I don't get why people can't appreciate him. If you hate him because of his personality then I feel you, but any boxing related hate is just.......hate.
Floyd is just dominant right now. I cant stand him anymore but the fact is he is one of the best fighters right now. I rate Hopkins above him based on quality of opposition. Hopkins has defeated great fighters and Floyd hasnt in my opinion.
Undefeated 5 division champion with wins over 13 current or former champions. Like him or not, he's better than good...
honestly, are you just saying Hopkins beat great fighters because he beat Tito? for the life of me I cannot see any other great fighters Hopkins beat DLH- at 160 where he lost to Sturm and Mayweather beat him at a better weight and while Mayweather fought for the first time Tarver- what makes Tarver great? because he beat Jones? Jones fans and haters will tell you that was not the same Jones in there Winky- making Winky fight at 170 was a crime and it showed so who is left that he beat that you consider great? hell even if you are using your Tito goggles to boost Hopkins up I would easily say Mayweather's 2001-2007 resume compares favorably to Hopkins 2001-2007 resume easily
Prizefighting "Greatness" is Based on LONGEVITY,ACCOMPLISHMENTS & RESUME... Since Virtually NOBODY Will Question Floyd's LONGEVITY & ACCOMPLISHMENTS,Allow REED to Present Floyd's Resume N a REALISTIC Light... Above ALL Else, having a GOOD Resume is Predicated on Facing Guys WHEN They were Considered GOOD... On that Note,Floyd WHIPPED Genaro Hernandez N what, his 18th Pro Fight???:dunno: ...Hernandez's ONLY loss was to DeLa @ 135,yet Floyd STOPPED him @ 130,Genaro's BEST Weight... PRIOR to Floyd Beating Hernandez,Angel Manfredy ASSERTED himself as THE # 1 Contender @ 130...IMMEDIATELY After Facing Hernandez (like 6 Weeks Later),Floyd DESTROYED Angel Manfredy... After that,Floyd Made NUMEROUS More Defenses,Beating Justin Juuko,Carlos Gerena,Goyo Vargas AND Emmanuel Burton @ 135... By the Time Floyd Beat Burton,MOST Fans N Boxing had SUPPLANTED Floyd @ 130 w/Diego Corrales AND this was ALSO Reflected on the Lb 4 Lb Lists... Given this,THE WAY Floyd DOMINATED Corrales HAS to B Taken N 2 Consideration...Floyd Followed that Win Up w/a GOOD Win Over Jesus Chavez & a Win Over Famoso Hernandez... THEN,Floyd Beat THE Lightweight Champion,Jose Luis Castillo for his Lightweight Title...Floyd HATERS like to Say that Floyd LOST that Fight, yet NONE of them have the COURAGE to Whip out their ROUND by ROUND Account of the Fight ...YEP,it was THE Closest Floyd has Come to LOSING,yet he DID WIN the Fight,Like it or Not...& he PUNCTUATED this Fact N the RE... Until RECENTLY,Floyd's Time @ 135 was his Most UNimpressive String of Fights, but then he Faced Phillip N'Dou,a HIGHLY Regarded KO Artist w/1 Loss @ the Time...Floyd DOMINATED N'Dou then Moved Up & Beat Chop Chop Corley,N yet ANOTHER DANGEROUS Fight @ the Time...It's VERY EASY to Use Hindsight Goggles, but Corley WAS a TOUGH Opponent @ the Time...& To this Day,WHO's Beaten Corley MORE Impressively than Floyd???:dunno: ... Sure,Gatti's "GATTI",but ARGUABLY,Floyd Beat him EASIER than Anybody EVER Has...SINCE then,Floyd has Beaten Sharmba,Zab,Won THE LINEAR Welter Title AND CLEARLY Beat the Golden Boy,Albeit UNimpressively... NOW,he's about to Face THE LINEAR Jr. Welter Champ,THEN he'll Face the WINNER of Shane-Cotto... A BETTER Question is,HOW Can U QUESTION Floyd's Greatness,Unless U're just TROLLING???... REED:dunno:
Don't worry, you'll understand and appreciate the quality of that post, for yourself, when you become an adult. Until then, just take my word for it.
