Oscar could always check that chin, but I don't think he can outbox Norris. I like 91 Norris to decision 2002 De La Hoya in a good fight.
I can't fault anyone picking Oscar, but I actually think the circa 91-92 Norris beats Oscar by a pretty clear margin. I think Terry's style would be a nightmare for Hoya. But going beyond style, outside of Terry's flaw (chin), he was just a more complete and better fighter than Oscar. If they fought 10 times, maybe 3 times Oscar catches him late and stops him. But more times than not, I see Norris schooling him.
I think 91-92 Norris at his best and focused like he was in the Brown rematch outboxes Oscar too. Another thing, Oscar at 154 for me was not the same fighter. He was more hittable and flat-footed. I think his reflexes had slowed down a bit. Doesn't mean he was shot by any means. He was still a quality fighter. But not as dynamic as he was at 147, 140. He would be dangerous throughout but I think De La Hoya would have to be cautious of Norris power actually. If Quartey at 147 could hurt him with counters, Norris could too if Oscar gets over aggressive. I could see him running into something big.
This is a good fight...Norris was fast and had pop... I think a prime DLH figures him out and wins probably by TKO in the 7th but DLH would have a tough few 5 rounds or so
