Despite Winky's impressive performances in recent years, I'd still pick a prime Terry over him. Norris on his game would be a nightmare for Winky. Terry's footwork, workrate, handspeed, and combinations would make it hard for Winky to establish his jab. Of course, Winky would win his share of rounds but for the most part Norris would remain in control throughout IMO. Norris by UD.
Norris would beat Winky pretty comfortably, IMO. He was way too quick of hand and moved around the ring beautifully. Winky would have to be stepping forward and throwing that jab out, leaving him open to the Norris counters. I would expect a 117-110 kind of fight, with Wright visiting the canvas late.
Terry's talent-based , reflex-dependent and improvisational style would've been effective against Wright. However, I think Wright would've responded with intense and close quarters pressure, landing his short jab consistently and wearing Norris down, and taking his will. Wright by decision.
Agreed. I think Winky's turtle shell defense also would be busted through by Terry's fast combinations alternating between the body and head.
If there was ever an overrated fighter, Terry Norris is it. Still, Winky's defense plays right into Norris strengths. Winky isn't going to crack Terry's chin either. Terry had a bad chin, but Winky has no power at all. I THINK Winky outworks him in a close, Controversial fight. Winky SD, but I would not be surprised if Norris got the nod. Terry would be blasting Winky's arms/forearms and it would be hard to score.
:jester: :2: Funny, but totally true. I hated Norris and still do. If there has ever been paper P4Per, it's him
