The five names are the top-5 but not necessarily in order. See if you agree with these picks. (and complain about my agenda if you will)

    Jab
    Holmes
    Louis
    Lewis
    Wlad
    Ali

    left hook
    Tyson
    Frazier
    Louis
    Cooney
    Tua

    right hook
    Tyson
    Bowe
    Foreman
    Liston
    Ali (underrated)

    right cross
    Lewis
    Wlad
    Johansson
    Stevensson
    Savon

    uppercut
    Holmes
    Tyson
    Foreman
    Bowe
    Johnson (pioneer)

Also continue with other divisions if you wish

I don't see how you can't have Louis as having one of the top five right crosses.

Also, I'd put Liston instead of Wlad for jab.

And I'm tempted to replace Holmes with Vitali for uppercut.

I think Louis was more impressive with his hooks. His cross was terrific too of course, but he didn't really get the same kind of leverage behind it as the big boys and he didn't have quite the speed and accuracy of Ingo (who knew nothing else)

Liston could well be up there too since his jab was extremely powerful, but it lacked speed and accuracy compared to others. I think Wlad deserves to be up there as for the last four years or so he has basically won his fights with the jab

Can not agree. Vitali can throw his uppercut from anywhere and lots of them because of his unique style, but I think the amount of uppercuts is what makes it special, as a single punch it is not as good as Holmes'

I was tempted to 'Louis' for every single shot. But I won't to make it more interesting for me.

    Jab
    Holmes

    left hook
    Tua

    right hook
    Lewis

    right cross
    Shavers

    uppercut
    Tyson

there is no such punch as a RIGHT HOOK for a right handed fighter... its a misnomer and I'm sick of hearing about it, you fucking faggots

a hook is a LEAD PUNCH... so if you are right handed, you have a LEFT HOOK.... if you are left handed, ONLY THEN can you have a RIGHT HOOK

call it a roundhosue right, call it what you want, but it isnt a goddamn hook, you fucking homos

    I'd call Jack Dempsey's left hook a shoo-in for the top-5.

Too much work for the the Heavyweight list, alone. Why in the world would I want to offer the other divisions as well?

    Jab - Ali, Holmes, Bowe
Left Hook - Tyson, Frazier, Ruddock, Walcott
Right Cross - Lewis, Louis, Marciano, Ingo
    Uppercut - Tyson, Bowe, Lewis

    Right hook? Dumb category.

    Moorer's was alright, I guess.

Not sure about Bowe's inclusion on the jab's list.

yup...then category should have been lead hook.

A "rear hook" is not a standard boxing punch, IMO, and so shouldn't have it's own category for comparison...in the same topic as conventional punches such as jabs, crosses etc.

Riddick Bowe had one of teh best jabs in history...any division.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the category title, just the names under it.

As for Bowe's jab...I think that's a little deceptive, since most fighters in other divisions don't have a similar size advantage against most of their opponents.

Bowe's jab did not really stand up against a similarly-sized Golota, and I wouldn't put Bowe's jab above Lewis'.
