I caught this the other night on HDNet, the same card where Houston Alexander, on loan from the UFC, got a win against Sherman Perndegrass.

It's clear that Big Tim learned nothing from his humiliating loss to Ray Mercer, as once again he came in ridiculously out of shape. They say he weighed in at 287, but there's no way in hell he's that light here.

I think it's obvious that the sport and the heavyweight division have evolved past the point where his size and somewhat powerful punches are enough to make him a top heavyweight, but if he's not gonna bother to even get in shape and get down to at least 265-270 at the most, he might as well not even bother. Even if he keeps fighting ham and eggers like this guy, who has all the MMA skills of Ray Mercer, just without the power, he's eventually gonna gas and get caught and get KO'd again.

Time to hang 'em up, Timmy.

I see what you're doing here, trying to discredit the great Ray Mercer with this underhanded post! Sylvia is still a great fighter! all 300 pounds of him.

On a serious note, Sylvia fucking sucks but in his defense he looks a lot leaner than in the Mercer fight.
