    *another spoiler warning*

So I'm hearing that Jaidon Codrington is fighting the winner of Sam Soliman vs. Sakio Bika in the finals. Apparently Codrington's father committed suicide during the taping and he's been a real big story for them. He also apparently knocked out Wayne Johnson in one round(no real surprise there) and defeated Brian Vera to get to the finals.

But didn't they just start filming about three or four weeks ago? Can anyone confirm this? I hear Mike Marley released something about it.

    Fuck Marley?

Wasn't he "a friend to fightbeat" not too long ago?

EDIT: And if his statistics show failing...then I wish I was failing too. :\

That mouth of yours...when will you learn? Why would you post that? Even if you were in the right?

    Marley

    Wow Carlos cracked on Marley!
I just met him once at the Holyfield-Oquendo fight and he was super nice.
I went to get my credentials along with Juan Ayllon of the cyberboxingzone and my brother in law, and I told him I knew Jake and that was all it took!
He gave us the best seats in the house next to NBA star Robert Horry.
Marley almost punched out commissioner Dickie Cole at ringside that night when Cole put his hands on him in an argument over the photograhers and the officials' placement at ringside.
Marley said "Get your fucking hands off of me" and shoved him and Cole walked away.

I admit, I don't think much of Marley's site (more so the people that write for him),though it manages to generate tons of traffic). That aside, I know hardly a soul that has any issues with him. Marley's a trip and one of the easiest people to get along with (unless of course you're a boxing commissioner as Karl noted  ).

Marley's a good guy, always has been to me. Would really like to know what he did to deserve an eff U on a public forum.

That said... surprised to hear that about this season's Contender.

Arben, it's possible that it already happened - they tend to stage the fights one after another in a 3-4 week block or so.

That said, even if these results do pan out, then it's all the more reason why the show continues to slip in terms of relevance. We've already seen most of the contestants fail miserably at the top level (some well before then).

Even though I didn't care for Season 1, it still had an aura of intrigue going in, and even though most of us (cover your eyes, AZ Cat)dismiss Sergio Mora's chances against any middleweight worth a damn, the truth is we still really don't know how good or bad he is.

Season 2 - we know how mediocre were guys like Brewer (though super nice, and I'm glad he won), Forbes, Bumdrage, etc. Walter Wright had the most upside, but isn't making any noise, and most likely never will.

Even though each individually does not deserve another title shot (or one at all, for those yet to receive one), I wouldn't mind seeing the winner of this tournament being thrown in there against the winner of Calzaghe-Kessler. That's what they should've done from Season 1, work out a deal with the reigning champ (which was Hopkins at the time for MW) to defend against the winner of the tournament. Though if it did work out that way, we'd have gotten Baldomir-Brewer last year instead of Floyd-
    Baldy.

But still, rather than just crowning a champion in a tournament of mediocre players, make the grand prize a shot at the world title. With this cast, I'd be more intrigued by the series if that were to pan out (even if the winner stands little to no chance against Calzaghe or Kessler).

personally I find it disgusting that someone reveals future show results to the general public. People should just shut the fuck up instead saying "look at me, I know something you don't". Ridiculous

agREED. I've criticized B-Talk in the past for doing it (even as a friend of the family), and will be just as critical if Marley or anyone else tries to jump out in front.

I've had tons of information prior to any release. Fortunately for all involved I'm too lazy to do anything with it.

Who cares. The contender is the lamest show ever. Thar lame ass slow mo fight sequence shit has got to go. They should have taken a page from The Ultimate Fighter. At least that show shows actual uninterrupted fight footage, not some bullshit edited crap.
