The Devil's Candy One of the better horror films I've seen recently. While I've seen several horror'ish movies lately I've really liked (Get Out, It Follows, Don't Breathe), I never really considered those "scary". This one actually creeped me out quite a bit. Comes in at a sleek 1 hour and 20 minutes, yet still manages to squeeze in plenty of character development and back story. Don't think there was a single jump scare in it either (not that there's anything wrong with that). Best comparison I can come up with, is a Rob Zombie movie (who I'm not a fan of, but I think has talent at what he does), but take out the complete nihilism of his films, and make the characters actually somewhat compelling and redeemable. 8/10
