Didn't see a thread for this so I figured I'd start one. I liked this film, it's quite sad. Willem Dafoe was excellent as always. The two little girls were terrific and the young woman who played Halley was really good. Very true to life. I see so many people just like the people in this film where I live and so many of the little day to day events depicted were things I've seen 100 times. A sobering look at the realities of the poor and marginalized in America and the vicious cycle that keeps them that way. Paradoxically (perhaps even ironically) filmed in vivid and bright colors ... not a movie that will make you feel great or that you'll watch again and again but certainly one that deserves watching and you're not likely to forget

    8.5/10

Totally agREED with Clogg's review. I watched this film some time ago. One of the best films of 2017. Better than all the ten crappy ones who were nominated for Oscars. Filmed at the 192 road in Kissimmee FL, close to the attractions, just five minutes away from my job. I have been to those places and indeed are exactly like depicted in the movie. If you don't cry at the end, you don't have a heart.
