Very average movie. Nothing special or surprising at all. Rich degenerate loser Marky Mark is a professor and loses lots of money gambling. He gets loans from John Goodman and Michael K. "Omar Little" Williams and gets himself in a mess. Has a female student who is smart and likes him and another student is a basketball player who rambles about 'existentialism" after class and always checks his phone. 5/10.
Just watched. Well worth the rental cost. Quirky plot, but good acting all round, and some GREAT performances from individuals. The dialogue, especially the table dialogue between Walhberg and the dealer (any/all of them) was masterful. I'm already considering doing a re-watch. 8.5/10
