The WBC cleared the boxers to use Gatorade or other rehydrating drinks in their boxing matches, so has anybody used it? I think it would help them to recover fast and avoid the dehydration that can lead to brain damage and other accidents. And it would give them more energy to keep active and keep the pace of the action, making for a little more entertaining fights. What's your take?

If Arturo Gatti was allowed to sweat down and then rehydrate on pasta and gatorade and beat the shit out of Joey Gamache, then I fail to see what the problem is with boxers using the stuff between rounds.

I hate it. Not sure how much it is being used, though.
Fighters should be discouraged from cutting weight, not encouraged.
