Danny "Cherry Bakewell" Williams is a British institution. He's a fighter for Britain to be proud of (much more so than the cynical politicians Slappy, Hatton, Witter, Khan).

I should have bet Sosnowski by decision. Danny is such a bum, he can´t even match Zuri Lawrence punch for punch. :shit:

....well maybe as far as the US audience is concerned but he's had many more highs and lows over here.....probably the most inconsistent boxer in recent times....but a heart of a lion.......his one-armed victory vs Mark Potter was every bit as memorable as the destruction of Tyson

he had a problem with egyptian customs. they found ten bags of icing sugar in his suitcase, and they thought it was cocaine.

naseem hamed, audley harrison, ricky hatton, joe calzaghe, amir khan - all men who were feted 'talents', and exploited this through years of ducking to make money.

danny's the opposite: he was never hyped, but still gave everything he could. and he jokes about ruining his training through his love of mr kipling's cakes.

I was VERY impressed with Steve O'meara. Could see that kid reaching European level at least if things go smoothly.
