    Some honourable mentions:
    KMD - Mr Hood

    Run DMC - Raising Hell
Big Daddy Kane - Long Live the Kane

As you can see, I'm clearly stuck in an 80s/90s timewarp.

its hard to say what the definition of a favorite is? an album you listened to the most, or an album you still enjoy listening to?

some older albums from the 80s i liked a lot are dated to me, production wise. then you have an album like illmatic that i simply listened to too much so its less appealing for me to play now.

For me it's ones you listened to a lot. Now I barely listen to hip hop but I'd still class those albums as my favourites.

I don’t do top ten lists but here in no particular order are some that may not be all time greats. What makes them special to me is they’re all albums where I liked nearly every song and listened to them several times. These are kinda all old school, 90’s and early 00’s. I tried to avoid some of the obvious ones.

Heavy D - Water Bed Heav
Bone Thugs In Harmony - The Art of War (1st disc only)
Ice Cube - Amerikkka’s Most Wanted & Death Certificate
    Wyclef - The Carnival
    Wu Tang - 36 Chambers
Kokane - Funk Upon A Rhyme
    Nate Dogg - G Funk Classics Vol 1 & 2
Parental Advisory - Ghetto Street Funk
Snoop Dogg - Tha Dogg Father
    Diplomats - Diplomatic Immunity
MC Eiht - We Come Strapped
    The Nonce - World Ultimate
    Cam’ron - Confessions Of Fire & S.D.E
    Nine - Cloud 9

    In NO Particular Order...

Redman - Dare Iz a Darkside
    Biggie - Ready To Die
    Jay Z - Reasonable Doubt
Pharcyde - Bizarre Ride II That Pharcyde
    NWA - Straight Outta Compton
    Tribe - Midnight Marauders
Souls of Mischief - '93 til Infinity
Wu Tang - Enter the 36 Chambers
    Roots - Things Fall Apart
Blackstar - Mos Def and Talib Kweli are Blackstar

As Undeniably DOPE as This List Is, REED Would Be Remiss w/Out Mentioning Redman's "Muddy Waters", @ Least 3-4 Other Jay-Z Albums, "Amerikkka's Most Wanted" and "Death Certificate" by Cube...

"Low End Theory" and "Beat Rhymes and Life" by Tribe, Several of the Wu-Tang Solo Joints, "Do You Want More" and "Game Theory" by the Roots and COUNTLESS Ol' School Joints Like BDP "By Any Means Necessary", Big Daddy Kane's 1st Album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and Others That Will Jump Out @ REED AFTER He Hits "Post Reply"...

REED's Most Recent Favorite Album was "ATM" by J-Cole...Damn Near PERFECTION...

Ready to Die & Doggystyle are my 2 favorite albums

Unfortunately they don’t have a good quality version of the original The Next Episode, which was supposed to be on Doggystyle. They made a different version for 2001, but I prefer the original unreleased one.

This is the best I can find:

Some other favorite unreleased tracks from Doggystyle. They used a couple of the verses for other songs on the album.

92-93 Snoop was a beast on the mic

Pete Rock never disappoints and Common usually comes correct. I’ll be checking this out.
