This is INSPIRED by the "Countdown" Show that HBO is Doing for DeLa-Forbes...

It's BAD ENOUGH this Fight is even Happening...DeLa vs. a Guy the Size of Jr. High Schooler...SERIOUSLY, REED's 16 Year Old DAUGHTER is TALLER than Stevie Forbes...

Forbes Absolutely, Positively has NO Fucking Chance of Winning...NONE...Even LESS of a Chance than REED Gave Alfonso Gomez of Beating Miguel Cotto (& U All Remember that Thread)...

Nonetheless, HBO is Granting this QUEEN of All MISmatches a "Countdown" ...This WOULDN'T Bother REED as Much if HBO did LIKEWISE for Sugar Shane vs. Zab, but they're NOT...

So U're HELPING DeLa to Sell an HBO Televised MISmatch, yet U WON'T Help Promote a More MEANINGFUL, More ENTERTAINING Fight on HBOPPV???:dunno: ...

HBO Did the Same w/the Floyd-Zab Fight..."Conveniently", that Bout DIDN'T have a "Countdown" Show Either...

REED Understands DeLa is HBO's Cash Cow, but Shit like this REALLY IRKS REED...Is it JUST REED or is Anybody Else Bothered by this Type of Shit???...

I'm not bothered at all by it. I don't ever watch countdown shows. Nor have I ever watched any of the HBO 24/7 shows. I ain't a sucker for it. It's all just bullsh*t hype to get more buys. I just watch the fight and that's it. After the result, nobody's ever gonna give a damn about any countdown show or 24/7 show. It's all nonsense.

How do you know there is no countdown for Zab-Shane. The fight is over a Month away and the countdown show is a week before.

Yeah, I was gonna ask that too. They do a countdown every time they try to sell a PPV these days.

N Btwn the Margarito-Cintron II, Cotto-Gomez Bouts, HBO Listed their Upcoming Schedule....

They Listed the "Countdown's" for Bernard-Calzaghe & DeLa-Forbes....When it Came to Zab-Shane, HBO ONLY Listed the PPV Itself...

They're NOT Doing a "Countdown" Show for Shane-Zab....

Really? The countdowns have gotten way more frequent in the last couple of years. They seem to pump them out for every PPV they do. I could be wrong... maybe they won't do one for Zab/Shane. Why not though? All it would do is sell more PPV.

forbes has a much better chance of winning this bout than gomez did vs. cotto. oscar will look sluggish and unimpressive in this fight winning a decision. i expect forbes to win 5 rounds.

Lamply is the biggest DLH dick sucker out there.. I find it comical though and enjoy it:lol: watch some DLH fights where no matter who he is fighting.. Lamps will be cheer leading DLH like he is the greatest:laughing: the other guy could be unloading punches and Lamp will be like "De La Hoya, AVOIDING THEM ALL AND SHOWING THEM WHO's BOSS!!!, De la Hoya is thinking "THIS IS MY TIME"

    lol

I love how Lamps will speak what fighters are "thinking" according to him:laughing:

De La Hoya-Forbes is like a commercial for the rematch between Mayweather and Oscar.

I think that weekend is when people who get basic cable can sample HBO for free, so even more people will watch the fight.

The countdown is basically an advertisement for a commercial.

Maybe they took his height with his shoes on? And I love how they forgot to mention how De La Hoya actually weighed over the limit at 150.5

    http://assets.espn.go.com/photo/2008/0503/box_g_delahoyaforbes_200.jpg

Lampley basically had an orgasm every time De La would throw a flurry in which almost every punch was blocked or slipped, but hey what else is new? :dunno:

Oh REED, how could you even debate this? DLH was at the pinnacle of bravery last night. He was fighting a Jr. Middleweight, and we all know that DLH started out at Jr. Lightweight. People gotta remember that DLH is fighting these bigger opponents and throwing caution to the wind. Forbes' power was so great that he had never gone the distance at Jr. Middle. Not even Julian Jackson could boast of that.

And to think we were all here to see it: a Julian for the new millennium, tamed by a boxing master who has fought in 6 weightclasses against champions and unstoppable punchers at Jr. Middle alike.:eeeek:

Manny was the worst last night. Usually it's Lampley, or Foreman when he worked for HBO, but Manny was giving fellatio yesterday to Oscar.

Lampley did mention the cross-dressing photos awhile ago during a GBP fight.

I normally like Merchant but I didn't like the way he was bagging on Forbes the whole fight.

Forbes was overmatched and outsized by Oscar right from the get-go but he stayed in the pocket all fight and tried his best.

The entire HBO crew was basically blaming Forbes for Oscar not getting a highlight reel knockout. Like he was supposed to go in there with his chin up in the air like Ricardo Mayorga and dare Oscar to knock him out. :dunno:

LOL at, if Oscar fights like this against Mayweather next time he'll probably win. Yeah, and if Arturo Gatti fought against Mayweather like he did against Joey Gamache he would have won to.

Forbes did the best he could with what he had. He's a solid fighter but he can't crack an egg. I thought he did pretty well considering what he was up against.

He didn't run against Oscar and he threw punches when he got openings. Did anybody think he was going to sit there with his chin out and try and trade punch for punch with Oscar? :dunno:
