Where exactly does Sam Peter stand in the heavyweight picture? The "Nigerian Nightmare" never looked better than when he ruined James Toney's championship dreams a second time. In the immediate aftermath, it seemed that Peter (30-1, 23 KO's) had awakened and was ready to fulfill a destiny of sorts. But since that time Peter has looked so… well, so ordinary. These days, Peter persists in a sort of limbo; nobody has really been able to deny him his destiny or completely knock him off his pedestal. Wladimir Klitschko, recognized by most as THE heavyweight champion of the world, may have beaten Samuel in a previous fight, but he certainly did not outclass Peter. http://fightbeat.com/article_detail.php?AT=675
Using the Toney fight as any indication of how well Peter will do against Vitali is just ridiculous. Peter is a fat middleweight, Vitali is a giant of a man. The whole article just seems like a run of the mill forum post.
If Vitaly has anything at all left in the tank, then he will beat the holy shit out of Sam and he will do so handily... Nice article brother Dsimon :bears: MTF

I am not as used to this audience. Even the dumbest martial arts mags are specialized to such an extent that you write to somoene on a different technical level... its as though every one has Stinger's experience in the gym to start with if that makes any sense? :dunno:
dsimon writes: I honestly believe that was the best Peter ever looked... so shoot me. He went up bum beatin as every decent heavy should, and he slacked off at a certain point. He was really fired up and angry for that second fight and came into the ring in the best shape of his life. Thats a fact. And I didn't say it was an indication sirZ..... The indication is based on if Peter really has the potential to be better... if he doesn;t he is going down hard and fast.
technically darrell but here I am going to hand you a gem: Here is my whole name I am not making this up... Darrell Wallingford Simon.
dsimon writes: In a family tradition my dad named me (middle name) after one of the greeatest unheralded trumpet teachers of his day... An English Jew by the name of Wallingford REager. My youngest boy's middle name is named after my karate teacher, one of the best unheralded fighters of his day!
I thought I would share this comment someone posted on your article Darrell Chris Petrill: It is quite scary how accurate this article is looking back in retrospect. In fact, I would go as far as saying it was a prophecy of sorts.
