Second year in a row I don't give a shit about the Oscars. The nominations were so freaking obvious that I predicted most of them on December due to the Hollywood Liberal agenda: A pro-gay movie (Call me by your Name) An Anti-Trump movie (The Post) Another Nolan fellatio nomination (Dunkirk) A feminist film (Lady Bird) An anti-whites movie (Get Out) A gender role inclusive film (Phantom Thread) A lets-try-very-hard-to-say-we-included-a-commercial-film-but-fell-short-as-alwyas (The Shape of Water) A Critics darling low budget movie (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) Another Meryl Streep nomination? really? you want her to give another anti-Trump speech?
Hollywood has been like this for years. What’s the big deal ? We know that “get out” won’t win, because a black film won last year. Call me by your name won’t win because last years winner was all about gay bidness. That leaves shape of water and three billboards. Shape of water will win. Billboards will get best director
Shape of Water is not nearly as praised as Three Billboards and hasn't made that much money either. I am intrigued by it, but the whole feminist/gender neutral angle turns me off.
The Snubs: Logan and Wonder Woman were more worthy of Best Picture nomination than half f the gay/feminist bullshit pictures nominated. Heck, were was the Best Picture nod to 'The Florida Project' a film than screams Oscar classic. No James Franco nomination. This is PC bullshit because of the #metoo thing after he won the Golden Globes for 'The Disaster Artist'.
Who gives a shit about the Oscars? LOL at Logan. That shit doesn't deserve an Oscar even if it was based on merit and not arthouse wankers inhaling their own farts.
I don't have a problem with Get Out being nominated for Best Picture, but Daniel Kaluuya nominated for Best Actor? LMAOOOOO! If anything, Kaluuya's shitty acting is what hurt the movie.
yeah that was a strange nomination. He wasn’t “shitty” by any stretch though...but it certainly wasn’t Oscar worthy.
I have a question about this thread... If one were shooting for proper grammar, shouldn’t the title have been “The Oscar Nominations” or even “The Oscar’s Nominations”?
Yeah I did to. But I think there's confuso on as follows: * it often gets shortened to 'The Oscars' * during a presentation an actor or actress says "and here are The Oscar nominations for ____________"
Proper Grammar doesn't matter when it comes to Panchy since as a Minority Hispanic immigrant I get a pass...and a pathway to citizenship with the Liberal Left blessing!
