Stylewise, who would be the ideal guys to make the following greats look outstanding?

    Carlos Zarate

    Ruben Olivares

    Vicente Saldivar

    Kid Gavilan

    Lupe Pintor

    Salvador Sanchez

    Miguel Canto

    Fighting Harada

    Eder Jofre

(Yes, X, I jacked your thread idea lol)

Zarate - Moon. Carlos would massacre Moon.

Olivares - Junior Jones. I just see Jones getting brutally chopped down.

Vincente Saldivar - Barry McGuigan. Saldivar would light Barry up in fantastic fashion.

Lupe Pintor: Hmmm... I see Pintor really battering someone like Romeo Anaya.

Sanchez: Fenech. Jeff's style would bring out the best in Sal.

Canto: Probably Carbajal, who would be too much of a plodder. Canto would bamboozle Carbajal.

Fighting Harada: Arbachakov at flyweight. I think Yuri was tailor made for Harada and would get battered.

Jofre: Hmmmm... I would say Inoue. Jofre would beat the ever living bejesus outta Inoue.

I think a non-dynamic, straight forward pressure fighter is perfect for Zarate, as the Zamora fight showed. I think a Jesus Pimentel, a Sung-Kil Moon or a Gaby Canizales is perfect for him to shine again.

I don't wanna just pick on Moon, but someone like him is perfect for Olivares.

Whether he'd win or not is a different question, but I have no doubt the class and style of Willie Pep would bring out the absolute best in Saldivar.

I tend to think Gavilan has issue with highly skilled footwork, moreso than anything else. He thrived against guys who stood in front of him, and obviously, the ones who rely on power. I think he'd take Cuevas to pieces.

A featherfisted out-boxer brought the best out of Pintor, and someone like that of incredible quality, is Midget Wolgast.

Fenech's style plays right into Sanchez's hands. Sal was too calm for him as well, he wouldn't be in the least bit flustered by Jeff. Fenech gets smashed up TBH.

A bit stationary slugger is what Canto liked. He may havr already met his in Avelar, but I suppose if I were to give an upgraded alternative, it'd be Chionoi.

Gilberto Roman would be fucking toast vs Harada. So would Canto and maybe Herrera, as well.

I don't think there's a specific style Jofre wouldn't shine against - he's just too complete. Just certain fighters who's attributes would trouble him. He'd beat the fuck out of someone like Moon.

    Ohhh I forgot about Gavilan.

I think Gavilan really shines against Curry. I think Donald gets both outclassed and battered.

I think Jofre would beat O.Canizales up badly.

And yeah, Harada would run through Gilberto Roman.

I thought about Canizales, and decided Moon gives Jofre less issues.

And I can definitely see Gavilan beating fuck outta Curry, but I think stylistically, he's best suited to someone like Cuevas.
