Interesting Horror Movie. I enjoyed it but you really have to accept the fact that these 4 people are stupid and make stupid decisions. For example. Someone hurt their ankle, so they decide going through the rocky woods would be a great idea. The director did a great job at creating a creepy setting. And the thing they are scared of was done pretty well. I only wish that they would just make horror movies to be horror movies and not have a separate meaning to the struggle they are going through. 6/10 (horror movie standards)
Yeah Horror can be so subjective. Someone could think horror is shit and i might think it's great. What scares humans is so personal and so diverse that it's never just a cut and dry genre.
Saw this earlier in the week. Like many other modern horror movies, it started off strong... then badly lost steam down the stretch. Essentially, this movie was Jermain Taylor. 5.5/10
Good solid horror flick. Tension was amped throughout. I actually liked where they were going, with the double meaning and all, but I don't think they really pulled it off successfully. Starts off like a more cinematic version of "Blair Witch", but I think ultimately it was much closer in tone to "The Descent", but with dudes instead of women. 6.75/10
Like a lot of Netflix movies I've seen lately. I wonder if a chunk of this was left on the cutting room floor.
Yeah, that's kind of what I meant. They're getting sold pieces of movies that have promise, but distributors don't quite know what to do with them. Sometimes they make it work and sometimes all the pieces aren't really there, like with "Cloverfield Paradox". This one was mostly solid, but it felt like it was short a few scenes for whatever reason.
