johnny bos, dibella and the chargins????

bos will pitch for a bunch of east coast frauds to get tv dates, dibella will put his own guys on and the chargin fossils are so out of touch with the game who knows what they're liable to do.

Yeah, that was a pretty weak suggestion. It's like he just threw in some names of match-makers from the past to go with it.

So is the HBO championship belt. Tournaments wouldn't be, but naming an HBO champion would be one step below the UFC with their own belts and would make the sport an even bigger joke.

If you're given out lessons, you should contact him.

I at least liked the idea of getting away from just Saturday night boxing.

They should have the budget to put lesser shows on some other days....though I don't know about Monday nights. Sunday would seem more practical (though obviously not during football season).

HBO has barely had Friday night fight cards (Hopkins-Echols II and the NOTY card are two that I can think of...but both of those came days before big events).

Bowe-Golota I was on a Thursday, if I remember correctly.

What if, instead of HBO's own titles and rankings, they use Ring Magazine's?

    Any better?

They can market it as the Ring Magazine tournament - and help out Golden Boy's magazine sales (though maybe not their fighters ) - and choose to do it in select weight classes (like the original one's, and leave out the juniors), perhaps taking the 1-4 and 2-3 (ranking based on highest willing to participate) match-ups and the winners facing off.
