Im in the middle of it. Really good so far. Francis at her best. This woman needs an HBO special with her just being a cunt to everyone that has wronged her. She can give a dressing down like nobody's business.
Is this the one starring that cunt who was at the golden globes motioning for the cameraman to get out of her way and got on the state to receive her award acting like she’s high on cocaine and thinking that the world revolves around her? If it is...I’ll check it out just to see that annoying cunt in action
I dont know what you are talking about. But it's Frances Mcdormand. How does a movie buff not know the person or the name?
Frances McDormand. Yeah, you´re right and just for the record I fuckin hate everything she´s ever starred in - just something about the cunt that really annoys me. Plus, she looks like a fuckin bag-lady no matter what event or movie she´s starring at or in. Fuck that cunt.
She hasnt "starred" in much. Fargo 3 billboards is all that really comes to mind. She was great in both. She has costarred in a few where she was really good tho. North Country Moonrise Kingdom Almost Famous Lone Star. Primal Fear City by the Sea
Fargo was the one that really grated on me. Her ugly-face and that hideous accent. Almost Famous she just played an annoying cunt of an over-protective Mother.
I like Frances McDormand. She is one of the few actresses I'll watch a crappy movie just because she is in it.
There's a good reason why she plays such cuntish, miserable-looking haridans year after fucking year so well: she's an ugly, miserable-looking haridan of a woman. (married to one of the cunting Cohens - 'nuff said!)
Saw this last night, thought it was bloody awful. No real plot development, self-consciously quirky and cringe-inducing in parts, a shame that such good actors were leaden with such one-dimensional characters.
I saw it a month ago. Really good movie. I dunno if it's masterpiece good, but yeah, one of the best movies of the year for sure. 8/10
I never really understood the “one dimensional character” complaint thing. Maybe someone can explain it to me because it sounds like something a professional film critic like Seiskel and Ebert would say. Really, what does that even mean? Well I Googled it and apparently it means a character that lacks depth and doesn’t grow. Well to that I say: aren’t there people in the real world who are one dimensional? If that is so, what is the problem? Not every character in a film can be deep or charasmatic and even if they were you can be certain some people would find a way to complain about them too.
it's pretty good watched it on a flight purely because Woody Harrelson is in it, was pleased with my choice
Yeah, pretty good. Some great performances but not a great film. Like a middle of the road Coen Brothers movie or so. Whoever it was that played Woody Harrelson's wife nearly ruined the movie for me. She was completely out of her element compared to the rest of the cast. Rockwell and McDormand were fantastic as usual. The kid that played the ad exec was also pretty good. Movie also seemed a bit unfinished at the end for me, but I'm guessing that's what they were going for. 7.5/10
I watched it on a flight recently too and then turned it off and went to sleep after 15 minutes. Ho hum
