At mw obviously. Does Duran stands a chance? Personally, i think Duran gives him a good fight. Toney at 160 wasnt as skilled and polished as he was at Higher weights. Still, his physicality should prove to be too much for Duran
Duran stands a chance in a realistic situation, because Toney always blew hot-cold. If he's cold, Duran would beat him. But since MM's always assume both guys at their bests, then no, I can't see Duran winning if Toney is having a "hot" night. And because he's fighting Roberto Duran, I can't see him NOT being at his best. I can see Duran giving a good account of himself. but Toney was just too big and talented, and should take a clear decision. Probably be a slightly more competitive version of Benitez-Duran. I can't see Toney boxing AS beautifully as Benitez, but it'd be somewhere along those lines.
Yeah, Duran isn't beating Toney if he's on form - although middleweight Duran's style would present a very interesting challenge for Toney. Duran would thoroughly out-fight the lackadaisical version of Toney who turned up for Tiberi.
I will say that Toney would find Duran a harder target than face-first guys like Barkley and Prince Charles.
