Top 5 best movies of the 2010s

Pretty weak era, but here are the 5 standouts, IMO. In no order:

Drive
Parasite
Brawl in Cell Block 99
Whiplash
The Master

 

Agree...weak era..

2. Mad Max: Fury Road
3. Parasite
4. The Death of Stalin
5. Interstellar

Honorable mention:
Marvel movies(Thor, Capt. American, Iron Man, Winter soldier, black widow, all them movies)
Restrepo
True Grit
The Social Network
Nightcrawler

 

Ex Machina and Nightcrawler are the only 2 other standouts in my book.

So essentially, I think there were 7 great movies made from 2010-2019.

 

I hope that in 20 years, Brawl in Cell Block 99 has a cult following that wonders why it was never a hit.

Such a fucking amazing movie.

 

Grand Budapest Hotel is the only movie that really stands out to me in the 2010s.

The decade was so weak, an Oscar was given to a movie about a giant fishman.

 

Objectively, I think Parasite was the best movie of the decade.

 

A few of my personal favorites. One thing about all these films is they were all highly rewatchable and rewatched (at least 3 or more times) by me.

Budapest was great I thought. I liked most of Anderson's films. Life Acquatic was great.
