So the top 4 here are easy, its just the order that can be debated. I would go:

    1. Whitaker
    2. Hagler
    3. Pac
    4. Saldivar

The #4 spot is up for debate. I might piss off George and be a fanboy, placing Khoasai Galaxy in the #5 spot.

    What say you guys?

I might let my inner Marvin Johnson fanboy come out once again, and place him at #1. Then again, I might not.

For number five, there's a lot of choice. You have the pair of southpaw welters of the '20s and '30s, Broulliard, Latzo and Corbett III. Tiger Flowers and Bert Lytell could also take the spot. Lower weight guys ranging from Elorde to Watanabe could also take it. Calzaghe, anyone?Very tough to narrow it down, but I have a P4P list from about a year ago which did it for me. Lou Broulliard is the fifth highest on my list. And my order for the forth is, making my list:

    #1. Pacquiao
    #2. Hagler
    #3. Whitaker
    #4. Saldivar
    #5. Broulliard

I never liked Calzaghe, but I dont think its crazy to place him at #5. He's certainly top 10, at least. He has a good argument for going in the 5 spot.

In a P4P sense, I cant say that Calzaghe was as good as Watanabe.

Michael Nunn and Mark Johnson wouldn't be top 5, but they could make a top 10. Not sure how I rank between them, because Too Sharp ultimately accomplished more, but in his brief peak I think Nunn was better.

Zapata is definitely top 10. Winky Wright can be top 10. Accavallo can be top 10. Obviously, Elorde can be top 10.

Yes, even Loma could make a case for top 10.

Then you have the two Cuban southpaws (Rigo, Casa) and I guess you can squeeze a case for them too.

If Bud beat Spence, he could make a case.

I'm gonna rank my top 7 as:

    1. Whitaker
    2. Hagler
    3. Pac
    4. Saldivar
    5. Khaosai
    6. Calzaghe
    7. Watanabe

    My attempt:

EDIT: I forgot about Elorde, so I revised my list.

    1. Pac
    2. Whitaker
    3. Hagler
    4. Flowers
    5. Brouillard
    6. Tendler
    7. Saldivar
    8. Elorde
    9. Calzaghe
    10. Galaxy

Moorer? I honestly don't think he should be above Tarver.

You do realize Vincente Saldivar is a top 5 all time featherweight, right?

Yes, should have said 4 or maybe 5 (even though hes a good level below the top 3.imo). Still, im a bit surprised that the list is so weak afterward.

You have four guys on the list who are literally considered by many as divisional GOATS - Zapata (108), Watanabe/Khaosai (115), and Calzaghe (168).

TF are you even talking about??

Was Hagler TRULY Left Handed or Just Able to FIGHT Left Handed When he Chose To???...Honest Question Because REED Doesn't Know for Certain:Dont:...

Granted, Hagler Switched Stances w/a PURPOSE, Not Merely for Shits and Giggles...Crawford's Similar...REED's Pretty Sure Crawford's Naturally Right Handed...

DeLa is Actually a LEFT HANDED Person Who was Trained to Fight Ortho....

Sad that becoming a mod has gone to your head so much that you can no longer engage in a cordial discussion

Nah, I dont thought you knew not a fucking thing about boxing long before I was a mod.

How bout actually responding to what I said?

How are Hilario Zapata, and Jiro Watanabe, arguably divisional GOATS, "weak"?

He was a natural right-hander who found himself more comfortable fighting southpaw.

    Same with Moorer I believe.

Honestly, I think Nunn was by far more accomplished. One of them quick KOed Arthur Johnson, the other quick KOed Sumbu Kalambay.

Both three weight champions, but Nunn's résumé is much deeper.

Yeeaaaaa... because thats very relevant to a top 5 all time southpaw thread.

You contributed nothing to the thread. Made no list or anything, just made a nonsensical statement that's objectively wrong, and whined when I called you out on it.

Was only to show that for someone who claims to know so much about boxing, you're in fact absolutely clueless. Anybody woth two eyes could see the difference in class between these two

As for the list, just was surprised to see a guy like Calzaghe arguably in the top 5, and guys like Casamayor and Moorer arguably in the top 10. Would have expected to see better/greater fighters than that.

And i don't think you know the definition of objective my ignorant little friend

    1. I hope you realize that every single boxing fan, pundit, writer, scribe, poster has been wrong about MANY prospects in their lives. Its impossible not to be, this shit is a sport, its not an exact science. You think I lose sleep at night cause I was wrong about Munguia? I was wrong about Panchito Bojado 20 years ago, I dont lose sleep over that either. Shit happens.

    2. Michael Moorer????? You're thinking of someone else's list. Moorer wouldn't even be top 20.

    3. Youre detailing the thread. As you do many threads. If you had no valuable input to offer the thread, what are you even doing on the thread?

Hagler is a legitimate southpaw in the sense he fought that way consistently. Same with Moorer. In the case of Crawford, I think it's questionable

Cotto and Gerry Cooney were converted southpaws as well.

I remember commentators in one of Tyson's early fights mentioning that he was a converted southpaw as well, but I've found conflicting info about this on the internet.
