Ryan Garcia self preservation from that IG thot…

Munguia for sure when I first saw him fight I thought “future of the 154-160 divisions” but hasn’t increase the level of opponents since…

How is Munguia a protected fighter when he fought Rosado?

I think Munguia is a decent fighter. You don't get past a gate keeper like Rosado if You are a fraud like Berlanga. I think Munguia loses to Charlo and Andrade. He's a tier below those guys but has proven himself imo.

I like Benavidez and think he's a potential p4p but he definitely needs to raise his level of opposition and quickly. It's obvious he's far too good for the C's and B's of boxing so he need to graduates to the A's if he reallly want to establish himself. Wouldn't necessarily say that he's protected though as he's still very young and seems like he's avoided (cough cough, Charlo and Plant). But the excuses will start to wear thin real soon

Yeah, would maybe remove Garcia because of the layoff and as we are not too sure about what his career trajectory will look like (odds are that he will be protected untill he's cashed out though). I would probably replace him with Berlanga or Andrande

    agREED...

    Benavidez Isn't Protected, He's AVOIDED...

REED Understands Plant Wanting to Cash Out vs. Canelo 1st, But There's NOfuckingEXCUSE Not to Face Benavidez Now, Short of Sheer Reluctance...Same w/Charlo; Move Up to '68 and Challenge Benavidez, That Way, Even in the Event of a LOSS, Charlo Could Still Fall Back On His Title @ '60...Those Guys Simply Don't WANT to Face Him...

Benavidez Wants ALL the SMOKE; Problem Is He Wanted All the COKE Too, Then Couldn't Push the Plate of Food Away Either...In That Way, Benavidez Has HIMSELF to Blame for the State of His Resume But He IS the WBC Mandatory Once Again and Canelo Will Have to SHIT or Get Off the Toilet Eventually...

REED Thinks 2023 Will Be a Breakthrough Year for David Benavidez, as Looooooong as He's MATURED Past the Self-Inflicted Fuck Ups...

Beterbiev is also a guy that needs to step it up and soon. Once again, I don't think it's necessarily because hexs being protected, but at his current pace it seems he will be shot before stepping in the ring with an elite fighter

He's Unifying vs. Joe Smith Next Weekend, Right???:Dont:...

That Should Be an Entertaining, If Not Highly Anticipated Scrap...And Since Canelo CLEARLY Doesn't Have the Stomach for a RE w/Bivol, They Should Go Ahead and Vie for UNDISPUTED After Berterbiev-Smith....

Good thing too is that it seems Benavidez is becoming a draw. So the $$ should be there to get him a premiere opponent

Yes he's fighting Smith, but honestly, does anyone gives him more than a remote pucher chance?? Beterbiev is in a tough spot as he's the epitome of high risk low reward. So names (well, at least the few that fights around 175lbs) do not seems to eager to fight him.

But just like Andrade, he seems quite content with the situation, simply pilling in the money and hoping to win the Canelo lottery

Is Canelo still the draw he once was? I hear his numbers vs Bivol we're pretty shitty. And now after the loss.

    Yes...

Canelo-GGG 3 Will Do CLOSE to $1mil PPV Buys in REED's Estimation...$750K MINIMUM...

The Problem w/Canelo-Bivol PPV Sales was Bivol...He Wasn't a Shit Talker Like BJS, Didn't Have Caleb Plant's Travis Kelce/Robin Thicke Urban Swag and There WASN'T a Press Conference Altercation to Drum Up INTEREST in the Fight...

Plus, Canelo Had ALREADY Won a Title @ Light Heavy vs. Kovalev, So There Really WASN'T a Strong Selling Point for the Bivol Bout...

I'd also say with confidence that Gvozdyk is better than both Bivol and Smith. Maybe not as proven as Bivol, but imo just as skilled and much more physically talented.

I suspect that Beterbiev is no longer as good as he was 3-5 years ago. It just hasn't been fully displayed yet because he's been inactive and fighting average guys. But cats with Beter's style are rarely ever at their peaks in their late 30s.

I would think that Bivol would decision Beterbiev at this stage, but obviously I could be wrong.

I don't think Bivol beats the 2015-2019 Beterbiev.

The answer to this thread has gotta be Tank. Easily. Relative to his hype and popularity in the sport, he's far and away one of the most protected fighters we've ever seen.

He's one of the few mainstream stars in the sport, but unlike other mainstream stars such as Nelo and Fury, who've fought top opposition, Davis has yet to face an elite fighter at almost 28.

Pretty pathetic. Three younger cats than him, Shakur, Haney, Teo, have all shown more balls than Davis.

He basically snitched on himself when he said that Floyd was interested in putting him in with Loma, but he didn't want it.

Gvozdyk doesn't have Bivol or Smith's power and was therefore not as big a threat IMO.

Beter was dropped/badly hurt by Johnson, so if Smith pulls this off... it ain't exactly a Lewis-Rachman level upset.

The smart money is def Beter by stoppage though.

Gvozdyk hits a lot harder than Bivol does.
