List some. No illnesses and no old age. Rocky Marciano - DEI pilot Getti - Murdercide by hanging Whitaker - Could see punches. Couldn't see car.

Julio Cesar Gonzales (hit by a car while on a bicycle) and Julian Letterlough (shot) both had tragic deaths within a couple of years of their foty
Back around '01 or '02, some heavyweight that was 13-0 shot himself. One of the few fighters to retire unbeaten. Can't remember his name.
Pride killed Vernon Forrest. He got robbed and chased after the dudes with his own gun, and they shot him. I believe he had a kid with him too. Had he just swallowed his pride, and been like "I'm rich, I can replace whatever they stole" then he'd still be alive today. So Forrest's death is half tragic, but the other half is stupidity because it didn't HAVE TO end in tragedy. Forrest wanted to prove he was a gangster.
100% agreed. Yes it was a sad incident but definitely a dumbass move to do. Especially considering he was rich and most likely had insurance on his car. That he had a kid with him yet still went in ''overwatch'' mode is the icing on the cake. Wanted to live by the street code and died by it.
Irish got Sal mixed up with Chico. Chico was blind drunk and ran his bike into a truck. I don't believe Sanchez was intoxicated. Just speeding. Sanchez was as cool as they come in the ring, but on the road... a 23-year-old with a sports car is gonna do 23-year-old with sports car things...
I think the answer to this thread is Davey Moore for BOTH! Featherweight Davey Moore had the most tragic in-ring death. Middleweight Davey Moore had the most tragic outside of the ring death. Whats VERY ironic is... both their deaths were freak occurrences.
Some theorized that he was also damaged from the beating he took against Fullmer, 3 months earlier, and didn’t really recover before taking another beating.
The name "Turpin" was hard luck in boxing as well. Randolph Turpin, a British fighter who had apparently been ripped off by a crooked manager then hounded by the government over unpaid taxes on the money he didn't receive, ended up taking own life. Najai Turpin, who suffered an upset loss (to Miguel Espino) in his the first fight on the TV series, The Contender (Season 1), shot himself in his car after a fight with his girlfriend. He died while the show was airing. They mentioned it and did a dedication to him after the episode where he lost.
I remember this. From what I can recall, he went out quite early in the show and he wasn't allowed to take any fights until his elimination was aired on TV, which took fuckin ages, and he couldn't make any money in the mean time. Hence the argument and what followed.
He was also badly damaged and was suffering the effects of same. Not just neurological damage, his eye was gone. His private family life was falling apart, he'd bought a derelict café that went nowhere, only down. I think he rented out a castle or something that was costing a fortune. He'd started to beat up on family members.
