It would be a war. I think Trinidad is down early, on the cards and on the canvas but he'll get up and gradually break down Mosley with his hooks and uppercuts. Classic fight that never happened. Tito KO 12
De La Hoya & Forrest found a willing Mosley with regularity. He simply was too willing to war. His loss, as Trinidad would have an excellent chance to KO him in that scenario. On the other hand, Mosley could see great success with his superb combinations, high work-rate, & positively blistering handspeed. Both are vulnerable to one another. Very close call, here. I'd tentatively back a Mosley decision...very tentatively. Had Mosley won either of the bouts with Wright, this fight was discussed & ready to be made at Jr. Middle.
Exactly. people STILL think Mosley would outbox Tito (or anyone else). Mosley is a slugger. They'll slug it out and Tito would knock his head off...
He has the mindset of a slugger but as I keep saying, he's a gifted counter puncher when somebody puts him in that role. That's where his natural gifts lie, he just doesn't have the boxing brain to exploit that. A guy who comes at him aggressively initiating exchanges & leading, giving him something to react to is perfect for him, especially when they do so as mindlessly as Tito. And if nothing else, the disparity in speed would be absolutely yawning. Mosley by close but clear decision with some hairy moments in the mid to late rounds.
It's definitely an open-bet fight, for mine. Excellent points above, on both sides. Mosley wins on speed & combination-punching. Trinidad wins a firefight, with his will & power.
