I heard Tua was offered Lamon Brewster a few months back but declined because he said he needed easier competition on his way back up.:dunno:

Can't blame him...he's been struggling with bums lately...that at least proves he's kinda serious about his comeback...he could have just fought lamon win or lose he would make more then fighting these bums

He needs to fight every month or every other month if he ever going to rise above the bum opponents....in 2006 he fought twice...in 2005 twice...he needs to take on these bums monthly....:nono:

Tua hasnt fought a guy who hits back in YEARS, therefore I'd have to favor Peter over him now.

The 96-97 Tua however would fuck Peter up VERY badly!

He was once willing to fight ANYONE in the division, and that was back in the late 90's, early 00's when the division was much stronger than it is now. Now the division is shit, Tua could EASILY make noise if he wanted to, but instead he elects to fight bums.

David is quite possible the biggest waste of talent in heavyweight history! The only one who rivals him in the biggest heavyweight wastes is your hero.

    You're right.

Both guys are loads better than many that have held a version of the heavyweight title......and both have failed miserably to live up to their skills and talent.

Tua hasn't been relevant for years. He hasn't been effective for even longer and he's making a comeback at an age where he should be retired. Can we really expect improvement from this guy at this point? No. So lets make a "no more Tua threads" bandwagon and move on shall we. Not even ESPN cares about this guy.

This is sad. Saul Montana is BEYOND shot.

James Toney KO'd Montana in two (or three) rounds a few years ago. If Tua doesn't waste him in the first round, he should retire immediately.

Tua said he wants to get some real work in. So expect him to try and get a few rounds in there before blowing the guy out.

Yeah, he was willing to fight anyone (including some guys who became "someones")....at least until he beat Rahman in theat eliminator (and that ever dangerous sparring partner Gary Bell). Then he took his ranking over to Showtime and sat on it until the Lewis fight.

Tua hasn't done anything relevent in years, and he's certainly taking the Shannon Briggs approach when it comes to opponents...but I agree he could probably still make some noise.

Exactly. A Heavyweight his height should be no more than 215lbs

The guy is samoan! For him, 225lbs would be good. The samoans are huge powerful heavily built men. Big bones.

True but doesn't matter...he's obviously far more trim in that picture than we've seen him over the last few years
