For some reason, I always get him confused with the scrub that DiBella has. Not sure why since they look and fight nothing alike.

Can't say I'm very impressed with Fury to date. His fight on Shobox last year was painstakingly dull.

    I like this fight.

Furys father has been recently sent away for an 11 year bit, that will get the son out from under his influence.

A very good choice of opponent who will reveal exactly where this kid is as far as his potential is concerned.

My ONLY reservation is that Hasim may be going into the tank for this one.

Even a faded version of Rahman should beat this oaf. If we are lucky maybe he will KO himself like he almost did once already. He did say the hardest he's even been punched was by himself.

Fury is 6'9", and does have a good jab. He is fat but its Larry Holmes or Tim Witherspoon fat. He doesn't gas. He has decent hand-speed.

If Rahman comes in at 260 then forget it.

Yeah, I can't come up with anything but indifference at the mention of this fight.

Well Rahman might not win so I can understand all the "indifference".

Yeah, that americentric viewpoint you try to pin all Americans works...except when it doesn't.

    Enjoy the fight.

    He is.....if he wins.

A fighter is always relevant when they have won, surely.

No, he thinks Tyson Fury is relevant.

Which seems like a statement that deserves an lol smiley.

Tyson Fury is young, big and undefeated. He is stepping up his comp. If he can put away a game Rahman then that is a feather in his cap. What is there not to like about this fight?

The fact that Rahman might go in the tank or show up heavy? I alluded to them already.

If Rahman shows up and tries a leg, and Fury can deal with it, then thats something.

It hasn't been long since Rahman was at his absolute peak vs. Wlad. He really couldn't be that faded.

This is the first time I have seen this kid fight, and I am not impressed in the least.

    The guy can't fight, folks.

No but we can see the past and he has already lost to McDermott once. He´s just your standard british prizefighter heavyweight level, a british version of Alex Dimitrenko. Once he steps up to Euro level competition like Sosnowski he´ll also be in life and death struggles. And he´s not Larry Holmes fat. He couldn´t stand 15 rounds, let alone fight.

The kid can't fight a lick, ET.

I have been impressed by young light heavyweight Nathan Cleverly, however, and I am predicting he will stop Brahmer.

But can he beat Jason Estrada? That's the question.

Everyone but "Irish" seems to have come to a similar conclusion.

Probably. Estrada was ruined by America´s top prospect, 35 year old Franklin Lawrence. :cheer:

I am not a fan of Tyson Fury.

His father is an abject thug and its a good chance that beneath the veneer, young Luke is not too far behind him.

However, personal considerations aside, I like the Rahman fight- if Hasim shows up and moves his hands and works, then we'll soon find out if Luke can fight at all.

Did he lost to McDermott? Sure the first time he did, but he stopped him legit second time out and its not like McDermott has gone on a total slide since either.

As I say, I am not pumping the Fury angle at all, but this is a decent fight, superficially. Whats wrong with a decent fight?

The Brahmer vs Cleverly fight is really a mirror of the Fury vs Rahman fight.

Braehmer did used to be a very good fighter but has slid badly in recent years following bouts of inactivity {an oxymoron in boxing if ever there was one} and stints in jail.

Cleverly, a la Fury, is young, British and undefeated.

And Spadafora, a la Mayweather Jr., is in his mid 30's, American, and undefeated.

    The statement doesn't mean anything.

Please. Brähmer is not completely shot like Rahman. Rahman is so shot, I bet the 100 to 1 odds that he would lose to Shannon Miller in the first three rounds and then Miller badly stunned him in the first. :Steve-Dave/MMA:

There is no evidence that Brähmer was ever very good and he has not slid badly. The biggest win of his career came when he poked a washed up Mario Veit in the eye in their rematch. Whether he really was at a different level before his long jail term from 2002 to 2005 can hardly be proven, since he only fought punching bags.

Thats my "name" don't wear it out.

Fury can box a little bit, I've never seen him in a "fight" pe se.

He's been fed a lot of stiffs.

If Rahman comes to fight, we'll soon find out if there is any substance to this guy. Thats why I like the fight.

Cleverly would not, in his current form, go next nigh or near a prime Brahmer. Jurgen is way past his best and on a protracted slide. If you want to split hairs after that about who is "more shot" then fine.

Braehmer was badly beaten in a fight vs some "Russian" who had him sliced and diced and hanging on. Years out of the game and in jail did him no favours.

Fury sucks balls...however, if a shadow of the old rahman turns up, this could be an entertaining fight, neither are good at avoiding punches
