For me, this is practically as big as a Joshua wilder matchup, in fact if this match happens it wouldn’t matter to me of Joshua Wilder never comes off. Whoever wins would be a huge matchup against Joshua. Long before Joshua established himself as the heavyweight front runner this was the fight I craved.

As shocked as Joshua x Wilder happening?
Because as of now, they´re (insert whoever´s names as applicable) doing everything possible for that not happening.

I'd be more shocked if Wilder-Fury happens for sure.

Fury has been saying that the fight is not far off from being made with Wilder, but what have we heard from Wilder? Absolutely nothing. I think it's a case of Fury making noise and keeping the public talking and interested. You don't go in to a fight against Wilder after more than 2 and a half years out of the ring and beating Sefer Seferi in a circus act in your comeback fight.

    The eternally fit Sharon Tate.

Did you see Margot Robbie is playing Tate in the new Tarantino film? She is hot but she ain't a patch on Tate.

Anyway, staying on topic, this fight will not happen. Fury always says shit like this.

    Yep.
They're pulling out a whole load of A-listers and ex-A-listers for it.
Premiere is on the 50th anniversary of the murders too.

I think Fury could give Wilder fits...

I think Fury has the style to embarrass Wilder.

Fair play to Fury if he gets in the ring with Wilder this year. He'll gain much more respect and no doubt about it, this is a huge risk, huge reward situation for him. Beat Wilder and he's the main man again. Yes he's the lineal champ and his stock will rise massively, but this would be a bigger achievement than when he beat Wlad, considering how long he's been out for, etc. Even if Fury, loses, people will still respect him more than Joshua for stepping in the ring with Wilder and it would be AJ who looks the fool.

It's a necessary risk. he's been out of the game for a while and blew up to hippo size and lost all relevance. He's not getting any younger either. So if he wants to get back making huge money now is the time for that risk.

Absolutely...but if Cunningham could drop him, Wilder could and probably would finish him at one point. It will probably be a Graham Jackson type fight...where one man is embarrassed and way behind on the cards and suddenly pulls it out of the fire with one punch.

Wilder has the power to KO anyone. But I honestly see Fury’s antics and unorthodox style throwing him off completely. The way to beat Fury IMO is to be able to fight him inside, work body shots, uppercuts and hooks.

I’d honestly take Fury if I was forced to make a bet. His stamina is actually very impressive and he can keep on the back foot for 12 rounds.

Fury must be getting smacked around the gym and looking for a cash out.

Too much is made of the Cunningham fight I feel. It was a great shot but Cunningham was just the right height and had a quick enough right hand where Fury couldn't really see it coming. He took some big right hands off Wlad and had little to no reaction. If he sees it coming he's fine. That's not to say he beats Wilder though because that right hand comes quick and fast, with some serious whip on it.

That'd be my guess. Otherwise, why would he not take a tune up?

He’s supposed to be fighting some other guy soon before Wilder.

Oh ok. So then maybe it isn't a cash out. Shows you boxing's sad state that we're so baffled when the "best" actually agree to face each other.

By the time the fight comes he would have had two tune ups. How many tune ups does a former champion need?

If this fight comes off it's a huge fight. Fury is still undefeated and is the lineal champion. Whoever wins this fight would have an official belt and the lineal title and so the Joshua camp would have to concede a little and perhaps consider parity

This fight is great for boxing

I'll heavily root for Fury, but I expect Wilder to lay him out.

I misunderstood. I thought the plan was for Fury to take on Wilder straight away. AJ looks like a douche now.

Kind of a no win situation for Wilder here. If he wins, he won’t get credit due to Fury’s past issues.

If he loses. Then he lost to an inactive Fury who had a 2-3 year layoff, thus killing all his momentum.

But the heavyweight division needs this fight.

I see why you say that but I disagree. If he wins he beats the unbeaten linear champion and it’s a great name on his record and will be seen as a notable accomplishment. Of course, if he loses, he’s fucked

Whyte vs Bellew would be a great matchup. Press conferences and prefightt smacktalk would be crazy

But if wilder wins he becomes the lineal champ. So he can claim to no longer need AJ and have a much stronger negotiating position. Plus, don't forget - at the end of the day - these guys are just trying to make money. I'm sure a fight against Fury will pay better than the average defense would.
