For a boxer his size….flabby as a motherfucker, to have the stamina, heart and defensive skills that he has? Gotta give him credit. His whole career credit is winning 2 and drawing 1 with Wilder. So, how good is this guy really?
I rate Fury a lot, but he (rightly) won't get credit unless he beats Usyk. Then you could say he's cleaned out his era. As a fan, his reluctance to make the fight happen has been disappointing and very fucking annoying. Fish-eyed Frank up to his usual shit again.
No doubt, I like Fury and think he'll beat Usyk handily, but at his age and as thin a resume as he has, he definitely should be pushing for the big fights instead of the sideshows and mismatches
I believe his obviously greatest achievement was to end Wlad's reign. Sure, Wladimir was old and sure it was a dreary fight, but nobody else was able to do that, and Fury won with ease. Also, Whyte was nothing special but he was obviously a handful for other top heavyweights, Joshua, Parker and Povetkin. Yet Fury made him look like a total bun. Fury is one of those Hopkins-type guys who doesn't look mightily impressive but makes his opponents look worse than they are. That makes him difficult to evaluate. Fury's resume is thin, and it is difficult to say how good he really is. I assume he is really good, but there is no way to know for sure. Even beating Usyk wouldn't tell much
Hopkins in his physical prime was looking impressive dismantling guys. It wasn't until he aged that he became a stinker.
Before this was announced I had a dream that Fury got beaten by being bodyslammed in a UFC fight. Ngannou ftw.
I've given up on him.. He's got his trilogy with Wilder and he's decided this is enough. Now he's gonna blow it all Vs Ngannou who will choke him to bits
Classic Allegedly Warren, such a shame that this cnut was able to get another prominent UK champion, the same boring bait and switch tactics, pretend that negotiations are serious for Usyk and then switch to a patsy..he'll sweat this asset until the cash out is the only viable option, no doubt when Fury is more or less done...ffs
This is why I wish boxing was headed by a single decision maker who actually cares about the sport and the fans the way the UFC is. In the UFC we routinely get the best fighters fighting each other at the best possible time, usually when both guys are at their peaks. After the 80’s many of the best boxing matchups became such a rarity due to corrupt promoters and agents going out of their way to actually prevent these fights from happening. Somewhere along the line, avoiding risk became the mantra once the prevailing overblown thought that losing was somehow detrimental to a boxer’s career and future earnings. Despite that never being proven factual it’s a safety first approach that continues to be practiced and continues to bring down the sport. In the UFC, champions aren’t allowed to duck the best fights and from what I can see many of them don’t seem to want to. To clarify, this isn’t me saying the UFC is a better sport than boxing, just that I wish boxing was run in a similarly effective way. We’ve been forced to watch promoters ruin the sport we love for decades.
Fury becoming more unlikeable and beings an absolute prick. https://twitter.com/MichaelBensonn/status/1678435528306221056?s=20
After Fury WHUPS Ngannou's Ass, BARELY Getting a Glove Laid On Him, " Y'all " Will Bitch, Moan and Complain About Fury "Owing" Ngannou a RE in the Cage... REED
Warren justified did what he did with Calzaghe and Hatton because they were undeveloped and a single loss could have caused them to fall right off the charts. With Fury....the guy already IS a superstar. There's no need for this safety-first bullshit.
Manager: Ngannou's 'Bag' For Tyson Fury Blows Away His Earnings in UFC - Boxing News (boxingscene.com)
There's some money in MMA. There's more money in boxing. But there is most money in this crossover crap.
Nah Francis is a dumbass. I expect Tyson to destroy him. If tyson is stupid enough to get in the cage, he might win too cause Francis has no ground game. Now If this was jon jones it would be different.
Yeah, Fury's Loooooooooooooooooooooong Ass LEGS Would Be an Easy, Inviting Target for Jon Jones TAKEDOWNS... REED
