Ruddock fell in love with his power, like big punchers often do. He relied too much on his Smash and neglected other punches. I remember Ferdie Pacheco, snidely (as usual), talking about this during the Page fight. He didn’t jab enough nor use his right hand enough. He took such a beating in the Tyson rematch. His jaw was broken and his face was all fucked up
He was already slipping but it must have taken something out of Tyson too. He absorbed huge shots in both fights.
